Abstract: An optical module includes a first port, a second port, and a third port. An optical path in an optical transmitting direction is from the first port to the second port, and an optical path in an optical receiving direction is from the second port to the third port. A light beam input from the first port may be a dual-polarized light beam, so that the first port can be connected to a normal optical fiber instead of a polarization maintaining optical fiber. In addition, the first port and the third port are disposed side by side on a same side of the optical module, the first port is configured to be connected to an optical transmitting module, the third port is configured to be connected to an optical receiving module.
