Abstract: Non-toxic, polymeric plush animal toys with incorporated natural food flavor compositions are shown and described. The flavor compositions are microencapsulated in a natural protein shell, and the microcapsules are incorporated in a mesh liner. Along with a plush outer layer, the mesh liner defines a fabric enclosure that encloses a compressible fill material. When an animal bites into the toy, the microcapsules rupture, and the food flavor composition diffuses through the mesh liner and plush outer layer.

Abstract: Non-toxic, polymeric animal toys with incorporated flavor compositions are disclosed and described. The flavor compositions are emulsified to provide high flash points which will withstand polymer processing techniques used to form the toys without significant losses of the flavor composition. Exemplary animal toys include those with polymeric foam bodies and elastomers that have flavor emulsions mixed into them as well as semi-crystalline polymeric fiber toys in which the outer fibers and all or part of the core fibers have an incorporated flavor composition.

Abstract: A sleeve that is removably attachable to an animal feeding bowl is shown and described. The sleeve is elastomeric and is stretched radially when in attached condition to fit snugly to the animal feeding bowl. The sleeve includes a flange at one end that projects radially inward to create an anti-skid surface that prevents the bowl from skidding along floors, counter tops, and other surfaces on which the bowl is placed.
