  • Patent number: 7315011
Abstract: Magnetic heating device includes energy feeding elements, control unit and at least two magnetic field generators, where each magnetic field generator has two free ends. All free ends of the magnetic field generators define a plane and the control unit is adapted to control the feeding elements to apply magnetic field generating energy to the magnetic field generators to generate alternating magnetic fields, wherein a ferromagnetic material positioned in a space defined above the plane is heated. The generated magnetic fields being such that the magnetic field through one of the free ends has an opposed direction as compared to the magnetic fields through the other free ends.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 22, 2003
Date of Patent: January 1, 2008
    Assignee: MTECH Holding AB
    Inventor: Lennart Alfredeen
  • Patent number: 7126095
Abstract: A frying arrangement includes a planar heating element (5) including a ferromagnetic material and constituting a frying surface. The arrangement includes at least two magnetic field generators (1, 2) each having two free ends, wherein the heating element is arranged in or close to a plane defined by the free ends. The magnetic field generators are controlled by a controller such that they are adapted to generate alternating magnetic fields in the planar heating element, wherein the magnetic fields are converted into heat in the heating element. The magnetic fields being such that the magnetic field through one of the free ends has an opposed direction as compared to the magnetic fields through the other free ends.

  • Patent number: 5025124
Abstract: A magnetic field heating device for heating metal including a means to create an alternating magnetic field passing this magnetic field through a dissimilar metal part to uniformly heat the part. This differs from induction heating of metal parts because the part is heated uniformly rather than being restricted to the skin or outside portions of the part. This unique heating is accomplished by utilizing a novel magnetic loop for creating a high density alternating magnetic field in the metal part to be heated.
