  • Patent number: 7416018
Abstract: The present invention relates to arrangement for a plate heat exchanger for connection to a system, of which the plate heat exchanger is designed to form part. The plate heat exchanger is of conventional construction with plates (2) parallel to one another, which constitute a package (1) and between them define flow channels. The outermost plates (2a, 2b) of the package (1) are at each short end partially covered by plate elements (6a, 6b), which essentially lie within the width of the package (1), of which the plate element (6a) situated nearest the system has throughholes (7) for assembly elements, which can be inserted into the holes (7) from above, since he pates (2) are formed with recesses (8). At each short end there are also clamping elements which effectively act between the plate elements (6a, 6b) and are designed to produce a symmetrical clamping force and to hold the package (1) together.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 17, 2003
Date of Patent: August 26, 2008
    Assignee: Valeo Engine Cooling AB
Inventors: Peter Thunwall, Hakan Nilsson, Lennart Danielsson

  • Patent number: 5823456
Abstract: Coiling assembly for iron and steel products, which cooperates with an element (16) to feed the rolled product and includes a stacking element (11) associated with a coaxial cylindrical drum (13) so as to define an annular channel (14) to contain, form and accumulate spirals (15), an annular plate (17) being included to support the spirals (15) being formed and having a first high position (17a) for the start of coiling in cooperation substantially with the element (16) feeding the rolled product, a plurality of intermediate positions defined along the annular channel (14) and a position (17b) for the end of coiling in cooperation with the bottom (18) of the annular channel (14), circumferential means (19a, 19b) to contain spirals (15) being included in cooperation at least with the upper part of the annular channel (14) and in cooperation at least with one of the sidewalls (20, 21) thereof (14) and extending radially within the annular channel (14) at least along a determined initial segment thereof (14).

  • Patent number: 5649441
Abstract: A roll-pair has synchronously driven shafts and a drive arrangement. The drive arrangement comprises an alternating current motor (12) and a planetary gear mechanism (13). The alternating current motor (12) and the planetary gear mechanism (13) are disposed in side-by-side relationship, the alternating current motor (12) having an output shaft and the planetary gear mechanism (13) having an input shaft. A transmission (14) connects the output shaft and the input shaft. The roll-pair and alternating current motor (12) and planetary gear mechanism (13) are all disposed on the same side of the transmission (14). The transmission (14) is a gear transmission. The input and output shafts are parallel to each other.

  • Patent number: 4756089
Abstract: An apparatus for measuring linear displacement having three slides movable along orthogonal axes. Two slides each having a scale for measuring linear displacement which extends substantially parallel to the path of movement of its associated slide. The third slide has a movable scale for measuring linear displacement, with a portion extending at substantially a right angle to the path of movement of the third slide, so that the linear displacement along all three axes can be viewed and read on all three scales from the same position and in subtantially the same sighting direction.

  • Patent number: 4339249
Abstract: A heat exchanger for recovering the heat energy content in furnace waste gases and for recovering much of the dust entrained therewith includes a hollow duct through which the waste gases pass, and which contains first and second tube bundles arranged one after the other and a dust collection surface therebetween. The heat content in the waste gases is transferred to water passing through the two tube bundles and dust is deposited on the dust collection surface.
