  • Publication number: 20240101028
Abstract: Auxiliary safety device for a vehicle, comprising a housing suitable to be mounted on board of the vehicle; a lighting assembly which is at least partially accommodated in the housing and comprises at least a plurality of lights arranged to illuminate a space ahead of the vehicle; a video assembly which is at least partially accommodated in the housing and comprises one or more video cameras monitoring at least part of the environment outside the vehicle to detect one or more of humans, animals or objects ahead of the vehicle, wherein the video assembly comprises at least one thermal video camera which detects at least humans/animals ahead of the vehicle under poor visibility conditions; and a controller which at least causes the plurality of lights to flash or strobe at a human, or animal or obstacle detected by the video assembly.

  • Patent number: 5971018
Abstract: A valve device for influencing an overpressurized flow of media comprises a control valve for controlling the flow of media, and a closing valve which is either totally open or totally closed to stop the flow. The valves are arranged in a common valve housing and can seal independently of each other against a common valve seat. The valve seat presents an outlet side which forms the outlet channel of the valve device. The valve device can be made compact, and the number of necessary redirections of the flow of media is minimized.

  • Patent number: 5221390
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for positioning at least one thread, band or like element in a pre-determined pattern above a conveyor path with the aid of thread outfeed device having at least one thread outlet device. In accordance with the invention, the thread outlet, or each thread outlet, is moved in a simple or a composite rotational path in a plane parallel with the conveyor path, and the path is moved linearly in relation to the rotational axis of the thread outlet. This will cause the thread outlet to move in a spiral-like movement path relative to the conveyor path. The conveyor path has mounted thereon dogging elements which are located within the spiral-like movement path of the thread outlet, such as to enable the thread to be laid out in a pattern determined by the dogging elements. The invention also relates to apparatus for carrying out the method.

  • Patent number: 4848451
Abstract: The present invention relates to a plate heat exchanger comprising heat exchange plates clamped between a frame plate and a pressure plate, the frame plate and the pressure plate having ports with linings for intake and outflow of media to be heat exchanged and the heat exchange plates having ports in alignment with corresponding ports in the frame plate and the pressure plate round which ports of the heat exchange plates ring gasket grooves extend. According to the invention the one of the frame plate or the pressure plate (1) facing the rear side of the ring gasket groove (4) of the heat exchange plates is provided with linings (2; 14; 22; 23) which do not require machining of the plate (1) at the area of the ports and that the sealing between the lining (2; 14; 22; 23) and a heat exchange plate (3) is brought about by means of a ring gasket (10; 21) engaging the ring gasket groove of the heat exchange plate (3) positioned closest to the frame plate or the pressure plate (1).

  • Patent number: 4802884
Abstract: A method of folding into packages, in connection with the manufacture thereof, disposable absorbent articles such as diapers or incontinence protectors comprising an absorbent body (1) enclosed in a casing extending laterally beyond the absorbent body and having casing portions intended to seal around the abdomen of the wearer, as well as elastic leg bands or threads (6, 7) affixed to the casing with portions (6', 7') extending at least partially along either side edge of the article at a distance beyond the absorbent body. The ends of the article are folded in with approximately equal lengths toward the mid-section of the article, which is thereafter folded together in the same direction into a four-folded state. The elastic portions (6', 7') at the center of the article are simultaneously held laterally stretched so as to encompass the laterally positioned article ends. The folded article, upon release of these elastic portions, is held together thereby in the state of a compact, four-folded package.

  • Patent number: 4667875
Abstract: This invention regards a control arrangement for heating systems for localities. Heat is given off continuously and the control may take place by changing the temperature (t.sub.w) of the heat carrier medium, thereby sensing the interior temperature (t.sub.i) in the locality and the outdoor temperature (t.sub.u) outside of the locality. A function controller (33) is fed with a known functional relation between the outdoor temperature (t.sub.u) and the temperature (t.sub.w) of the heat carrier medium. The difference between the existing inside temperature (t.sub.i) and the desired inside temperature (t.sub.r) is stated, and the functional relation between the outdoor temperature (t.sub.u) and the temperature of the heat transfer medium (t.sub.w) is divided up into a number of zones, limited from each other dependent upon the difference between the desired inside temperature (t.sub.r) and the inside temperature proper (t.sub.i).
