Abstract: The present invention relates to modular wooden decking for patios, balconies or terraces. According to the invention, the wooden decking comprises a framework made up of a plurality of rectangular frames (1) which are arranged alongside one another and whose sides have lengths which are a multiple of the length of the shortest side (l), and boards (5, 9) laid on top of the frames and secured to them, said boards having a length which is a multiple of the length (l) of the shortest side of the frame.

Abstract: A system for construction of balustrades for terraces or the like, includes vertically extending posts (1, 2, 3), and horizontally extending beams (20, 21) connected to the posts and supported by the posts. According to the invention, each post (1, 2, 3) includes at least one elongate support member (5) which carries at least one securing element (6, 7) for fastening a beam (20, 21), and at least two elongate cover elements (8), which can be secured to one another, cooperate to surround the support member (5) when secured to one another and have recesses (14, 15, 18, 19) for each securing element (6, 7) to pass through, so that part of the securing element (6, 7) protrudes outside the cover elements (8) when these are secured to one another and surround each elongate support member (5) included in the post.

The second information items are overlaid on the synchronously transmitted first information items. A bandwidth accessible on transmission can be variably distributed between the first and second information items and, with the desired variable distribution, transmitting and receiving units become synchronized by synchronization information which is transmitted via a channel established for asynchronous transmission between the transmitting and receiving units.

Abstract: The invention relates to silencers for damping sound waves created in gases, comprising a series of thin-walled, tubular damping units and an inner tube for conducting gases through the end walls of the units, the tube having openings communicating with the chambers defined in each unit. In accordance with the invention each damping unit is surrounded by an outer tube which is connected in a gas-tight fashion through two end walls with the cylindrical surface of the damping unit, and the space between the cylindrical surface and the outer tube is divided into at least two chambers communicating with the inner tube through a transversely-extending branch pipe.
