Abstract: An electronic device and an operation mode switching method thereof are described. The operation mode switching method is applied to an electronic device that includes a display unit, and the electronic device has a first operation mode and a second operation mode. The display unit has a first light-transmittance in the first operation mode and a second light-transmittance in the second operation mode such that the first high light-transmittance is higher than the second light-transmittance. The method includes detecting to obtain a trigger event; judging whether or not the trigger event satisfies a predefined condition to get a judgment result and, when the judgment result indicates that the trigger event satisfies the predefined condition, generating a switching instruction, and according to the switching instruction, switching the electronic device between the first operation mode and the second operation mode.

Abstract: A display method is applied in a first electronic device and a second electronic device, wherein, the first electronic device includes a first display unit having a plurality of edges, and the second electronic device includes a second display unit also having a plurality of edges. Abstract: The present invention provides a hinge apparatus and an electronic device that includes the hinge apparatus. The hinge apparatus includes n shafts, arranged side by side, wherein n is an integer equal to or greater than 3; and multiple connecting elements for rotatably connecting each two adjacent shafts so as to form a shaft chain. The hinge apparatus can achieve a flexible shaft effect and can place the two portions connected by it in the same plane.

Abstract: An electronic device and a method for controlling the same are disclosed. The electronic device has a flexible display screen, and the flexible display screen has a first display region. The method for controlling the electronic device includes: detecting whether the flexible display screen is bent to generate detection information; and dividing a first display region into a first display sub-region and a second display sub-region in the case that the detection information indicates that the flexible display screen is bent, where the first display sub-region is independent of the second display sub-region.
