  • Patent number: 11294084
Abstract: According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided an apparatus comprising a memory configured to store seismic data, at least one processing core configured to perform a geographic determination, based on the seismic data and reference data, the geographic determination relating to a geographical location of a device that produced the seismic data. In some embodiments, the device that produced the seismic data is comprised in a cloud computing server. In other embodiments, the device that produced the seismic data is integrated in a secure computing element on a motherboard of a computer. In further embodiments, the reference data originates in a trusted seismographic source.

  • Patent number: 6738369
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for transmitting data in a telecommunication system that comprises at least one packet-switched transmission network, in which data is transmitted in data packets of a standard length, the number of such standard lengths being determined in advance. To transfer information in as compact form as possible, a unique length code (L) is maintained for each standard length, and to each packet is added a length code (L) corresponding to the header of the packet to be transferred to indicate the length (3) of the packet. The invention further relates to a telecommunication system in which the method of the invention can be utilized.

  • Patent number: 6229802
Abstract: The invention relates to a method, a network node and a data transmission system for packet-switched data transmission in a data transmission network that comprises at least two network nodes (DXT, BS) for receiving and transmitting packets. The packets (3, 4, 5, 6) sent from the first node (DXT) to the second node (BS) are packets whose destination address indicates the second node as the next node, and the first node (DXT) identifies the destination addresses and data transmission connections (A, B, C, D) associated with the received packets from the identification data contained in each packet. To reduce the risk of a packet not arriving in time, the method comprises reception of a control signal (8) in the first node (DXT), the signal comprising information on the data transmission connection of the packet to be sent next to the second node (BS), and transmission of the packet associated with the data transmission connection indicated by the control signal (8) to the second node (BS).

  • Patent number: 5745853
Abstract: A method for allocating radio channels in a quasi-transmission trunked mobile communication system including base stations and a first mobile station communicating with the base stations using radio channels, and at least one other mobile station requiring a radio channel. In the method, a radio channel is kept reserved for such a call in which the first mobile station is participating. This radio channel is allocated for the first mobile station for the duration of its call transaction. The first mobile station terminates and its call transaction, the radio channel is kept reserved for a predetermined time for the call. For accelerating allocation of new call transactions, it is checked whether the radio channel may still be kept reserved for the call. If the radio channel may still be kept reserved for the call, time-out time (T.sub.
