    Abstract: Apparatus for introducing a transponder in a living being wherein the transponder itself is outfitted with a sharpened member attached to the injection end of a transponder. The sharpened member comes in contact with the skin before the transponder thereby creating an opening in the skin such that the transponder can be blunt edged and move into the opening easily. The sharpened member is preferably constructed of a bio-compatible, preferably biodegradable material which may carry medication additionally.
