  • Patent number: 5549025
Abstract: The invention refers to a cutting strip with a cutting edge of highly wear-resistant material, e.g., polycrystalline diamond material, that is laid in solid connection on a base and forms a rail piece together with this base, whereby several rail pieces are laid in series along a holder that is made of wear-resistant material, e.g., hard metal, and has an essentially rectangular cross-section. The holder is provided, along two adjacent edges each with a groove protruding diagonally into the holder, with essentially parallel faces into which the rail pieces are inserted in such a way that the faces of the two grooves reach to the cutting edge of the rail pieces, whereby the faces situated between the two grooves are formed by a clamping piece that can be screwed onto the holder and that collectively clamps against the holder all rail pieces held in the two grooves.

  • Patent number: 4777735
Abstract: This invention concerns a device for dehydrating and drying solids, particularly plastics granulated under water in the form of a granulate-water mixture on a curved screen by means of a stream of air that runs both in the direction through the water through the screen and along the screen, with the granulate-water mixture being supplied to the curved screen through a feed duct and being agitated turbulently by the flow energy of the air above the curved screen and being fed to a discharge duct at the end of the curved screen.

  • Patent number: 4759248
Abstract: A bed knife that acts together with a cutting blade moved past it, particularly for granulating plastic strands, consisting of individual aligned sections of the same type that are fastened to a supporting beam and whose knife edge consists of a cutter material. Each section consists essentially of ceramic cutter material and extends over the areas of feed and delivery of the material to be cut of the cut material. The section is provided with a cutout running in the direction of the bed knife that is aligned with the cutouts of all of the sections and changes into an outer surface of the section as a throat in comparison with the corresponding dimension of the cutout, with the cutouts containing a continuous bar extending through several sections. The bar presses the section against the supporting beam by means of screws passing through the throat that penetrate into the bar, with sections being connected to one another positively by the bar.

  • Patent number: 4505369
Abstract: In a clutch throwout, particularly for automotive clutches, a self-centering clutch bearing is arranged on or in a sliding sleeve. The stationary bearing ring of the clutch bearing is connected with the sliding sleeve via an intermediate element, which features guides for the radial sliding, in two mutually crossing radial directions, of the clutch bearing in relation to the sliding sleeve. To enable the clutch bearing to slide in any radial direction and to position itself precisely centered in relation to the tongue ends of the clutch diaphragm spring, without great constraining forces, while, regardless of position, damping the relative movements of clutch bearing in relation to sliding sleeve, intermediate element is radially interlocked with the stationary bearing ring and with the sliding sleeve, in two mutually crossing directions.

  • Patent number: 4437556
Abstract: In a throw-out bearing for a clutch, a movable element, which may be comprised of a sliding sleeve, is slidably supported on a guide element by flexible conical projections extending inwardly from the movable part to the guide element. The projections may be on the end of and the unitary part of the sliding sleeve, or they may be a part of a sleeve inserted within the sliding sleeve, or they may form a part of the fixed ring of the bearing.

  • Patent number: 4434882
Abstract: A clutch release bearing has a sliding sleeve of a vibration damping and noise insulating material. The sliding sleeve has a flange axially engaging a bearing outer ring, the outer ring being separated from a bearing inner ring by rolling elements. The sliding sleeve has a radially inner sliding surface with axially extending recesses, the recesses extending radially through the end faces of the sliding sleeve.

  • Patent number: 4327823
Abstract: In a clutch release bearing, wherein a pressure plate is affixed to a sliding sleeve, the pressure plate has a cylindrical portion affixed to the sleeve, a radial flange adapted to abut the bearing of the device, and an intermediate conical section. The conical section has four recesses distributed thereabout, two of which are adapted to engage projections of a clutch lever. A holding ring is held on the cylindrical portion of the pressure plate, and has projections entering the other two recesses of the pressure plate. Recesses in the holding ring aligned with the first mentioned recesses have tongues adapted to resiliently hold the projections of the clutch lever in the respective recesses.
