  • Patent number: 12327037
Abstract: A processor-enabled method of deleting data of a user on one or more electronic devices of the type having a processor, a volatile memory, a non-volatile memory, a display, and a user interface, includes the steps of A) providing a software application resident in the non-volatile memory of the electronic device, B) running the software application so that the software application is in a standby mode, C) checking a remote reset flag, and D) in an emergency situation, the user using the user interface to activate a data destruction routine of the software application, or the remote reset flag initiating the data destruction routine. The data destruction routine performs the steps: 1) setting the remote reset flag, 2) turning off the display of the electronic device, 3) overwriting the data of the user in the non-volatile memory with decoy data, and 4) initiating the factory-reset module.

The data destruction routine performs the steps: 1) turning off the display of the electronic device, or alternately displaying all black pixels on the display, 2) overwriting the data of the user in the non-volatile memory with decoy data, and 3) initiating the factory-reset module. The decoy data may be all zeros, all ones, or random values, for example.

  • Patent number: 8375915
Abstract: An gas directing/exhaust system and method are provided that has different embodiments. In some embodiments, the gas directing mechanism has a first pathway and a second pathway. In other embodiments, the gas directing mechanism has a second pathway and one or more first pathways located inside of the second pathway. In other embodiments, the gas directing mechanism has the first and second pathways and a third pathway inside of the second pathway.

  • Patent number: 7997246
Abstract: A method, device, and system for controlling a flow of a fluid moving through a pipe are presented. The device includes a truncated cone having a first diameter at an inlet and a second diameter at an outlet and a bracket attached to the truncated cone. The first diameter of the truncated cone is larger than the second diameter. The bracket is a curved sheet positioned around at least a part of the truncated cone and having an adjustable bracket diameter. The bracket diameter is measured from a center axis extending through a center of the truncated cone. Attaching the device to a fluid flow pipe reduces turbulence in the flow through the pipe, allowing a more streamlined fluid exit from the pipe. When used with an air intake pipe for an internal combustion engine, the device allows more horsepower and mileage to be extracted from the engine.
