  • Patent number: 5351703
Abstract: This invention relates to a combination walking cane/quick attachment cue stick comprising a non-threading fastener means to assemble a rearward end of a forward shaft to an open end of a rearward shaft to form the cue stick and to fasten the rearward shaft and a cap member over the forward shaft to conveniently form the walking cane. The fastener means comprises a plurality of resilient rings which securely engages the interior of either the cap member or the rearward shaft to securely hold either the cap member or the rearward shaft to and about the forward shaft. The cue stick further comprises a slide member which is slidably mounted on the forward shaft and extendable forward of the cue tip to further steady and assist the aim of the user using this cue stick. Further, replaceable weighted plugs are engageably mounted in the rearward end of the forward shaft to provide the user with a cue stick having a desired weight and balance.

  • Patent number: 4234224
Abstract: The invention comprises a truck box cover device. The device has a rod with a rectangular tarp attached to the rod at its one end and attached to the edge of a truck box at its other end. The tarp is rolled onto the rod toward the edge of the truck box where the outer end of the tarp is attached to uncover the open top of a truck box, and is unrolled in the opposite direction to cover the truck box. A pair of ropes are attached to the outer ends of the rod at one end of the ropes. The outer ends of the ropes are attached to springs and the springs are attached to the sides of the truck box. As the tarp is unrolled the ropes are wound onto the rod. The springs act to place tension on the rope and clearly place tension on the rods and thereby urge the tarp in a straight line toward an unrolled position and thereby act to keep the tarp straight.

  • Patent number: 4047605
Abstract: The invention comprises a golf practice swing apparatus. The apparatus has a base support with a main pole extending upward at a slight angle toward the position where a golfer would normally stand. A swing arm is mounted on the main pole and pivotally mounted to rotate on an axis perpendicular to the length of the main pole and in a plane parallel to the main pole. The swing arm has a spring biased lever pivotally mounted to the lower end of the swing arm to pivot in generally the same plane as the swing arm rotates. A club head is mounted to the lower end of the lever and a club shaft is pivotally mounted to the club head and projects toward the position the golfer would normally stand. The club head lies in the general plane of the swing with its face perpendicular to the plane.
