  • Patent number: 7097343
Abstract: A lamp has projecting stud and resilient elements configured to lock the lamp into a reflector housing upon insertion of the lamp into an opening of the reflector and rotation of the lamp. Electrical connection is also achieved through the rotation where transverse lamp contact elements are brought into engagement with corresponding contacts of the reflector housing.

  • Publication number: 20050041420
Abstract: A lamp (10) and a headlight with a reflector housing (50) and a lamp (10) are disclosed. The lamp (10) has a lamp base (14) and a burner element (12), said lamp base (14) comprising locking means (20) which project transversely to the longitudinal axis of the lamp. Said means can be locked into an opening (52) of the reflector housing (50) through rotation after insertion of the lamp (10). Said rotation at the same time achieves the electrical connection in that contact elements (30) projecting transversely to the longitudinal axis, preferably planar contact lugs, are brought into engagement with contact means (60) at the reflector housing, preferably contact clamps. Further embodiments of the invention relate inter alia to axially and transversely acting spring elements (40, 42) as well as to a handle (28) for rotating the lamp.

  • Patent number: 6798138
Abstract: The invention relates to a halogen incandescent lamp for motor vehicles with an elongate bulb which is closed at one end and has a vacuumtight pinch seal at the other end, with at least one incandescent element arranged in the bulb, with a lamp cap connected to the pinch seal, and with current supply leads which are passed through the pinch seal to the incandescent element, with an annular optical filter which is provided at the closed end of the bulb. It is possible with such a halogen incandescent lamp in a simple manner both to change the subjective impression of the generated light and to improve the objective properties through emphasizing of a desired region of the spectrum.

  • Patent number: 5036439
Abstract: A car headlight lamp having a lamp envelope (1), which is closed by seals (2) through which current lead-in members (3,4) are passed and is secured by a holding member to a socket (17), the holding member having a dipping cap (12), which at least partly surrounds the lamp envelope and is connected to a current lead-in member (4) of the lamp envelope. The socket (17) has an outwardly projecting cylindrical flange bush (24) for receiving the lamp envelope (1) and the lamp envelope has a tubular prolongation (6), onto which a clamping sleeve (7) is slipped, which consists of a cylindrical sleeve body (8), which has an outer flange (9) secured to the flange bush and several inwardly directed resilient tongues (10), which bear on the prolongation of the envelope. The dipping cap (12) is secured to the clamping sleeve (7).
