    Abstract: An electrophotographic imaging member provided with a supporting substrate, a conductive layer, a charge blocking layer, an optional adhesive layer, a charge generating layer and a charge transport layer, wherein the charge generating layer contains a photogenerating pigment and a copolyester adhesive dopant blended into a film-forming polymer binder. The doping of the charge generating layer with a copolyester adhesive permits the elimination of the need of the optional adhesive layer for effective cost saving measure. If the adhesive layer is provided, the adhesion strength between the charge generating layer and the adhesive layer is significantly enhanced by up to about four times.
