    Abstract: A machine for extinguishing ground fires comprises an extinguisher assembly having a plurality of beating members which forcefully impact the ground as the machine travels over the terrain. The beating members are attached to a core which rotates as the machine advances, thereby imparting a rotating motion to the fibers. The beating members repetitively impact the ground, which motion extinguishes the fire. The machine may be walked or ridden.
