Abstract: The invention relates to a separation system for simultaneous removal of a solid phase particles and a dispersed phase droplets from a medium being a continuous phase to be purified by filtration, wherein said separation system comprises: a filtration-coalescing element (1) in a form of a fibrous structure, a separating element (2), which is a barrier layer for droplets of said dispersed phase and a drainage gap (3), disposed there between and separating said elements (1) and (2) from each other.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a pleated filter (1) obtained by pleating a filtering material and folding the pleated filtering material to form a cylindrical configuration, which method further comprises applying at least one layer of fibrous covering on the outer surface of ridges of the pleats, which fibrous covering comprising melt-blown fibres (3) of thermoplastic polymer, wherein the pleated filter (1) is arranged in parallel to the blowing head which blows the molten polymer forming fibres, whereas at the same time the filter (1) performs rotational movements and/or reciprocating motions, while the distance of the blowing head from the said outer surface of the filter (1) is selected so that the fibres blown from the head from the said outer surface of the filter (1) is selected so that the fibres blown from the blowing head at the time of contacting the pleat ridges are still in a plastic state.

The aerodynamic chamber may also be used as a mouthpiece.

Abstract: The invention consists of a powder inhalator for administrating medications. The inhalator, according to the invention, has a chamber with a mechanism for opening the medication capsule and an aerodynamic chamber in which the medication particles are separated from the currier capsules. In the aerodynamic chamber. On the opposite side to the mouthpiece opening, there are air inlet ducts which form a multidirectional system of air ducts. The air ducts are shaped in a way which makes the air that flows through them create at least three streams. Due to the intersecting of the air streams the air flow is strongly turbulent even if low speeds are involved. Consequently the separation of the active substance particles form the carrier surface is very effective.
