Patent number: 7757891Abstract: Techniques for dispensing a type of liquid in a specific amount or at a constant flow rate are disclosed. According to one aspect of the present invention, a height difference between an inlet and an outlet is maintained by an adjustable tubing assembly. An overflow assembly is provided to divert any overflow of the liquid from entering a reservoir and keep a specific level of the liquid. A valve is provided to the inlet and can be turned off when a sensor detects that there is an overflow of the liquid in the overflow assembly.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 2007Date of Patent: July 20, 2010Assignee: ChemFlow Systems, Inc.Inventors: Leon Han, Russell D. Moulton

Patent number: 6988717Abstract: A method and system of near saturation gas humidification by mixing a steam and a gas flow is disclosed. The steam is generated with a heating device at a controlled rate from a liquid contained in a vessel near the point of use of the humidified gas. The controlled rate results from a feedback loop that controllably heats the liquid while measuring the steam temperature and maintaining it around a set point. The humidification delivery rate is adjustable by adjusting the temperature set point and/or the gas pressure. Undesirable components from the humidified gas are removed with an in-line filter after its point of generation. Condensation from the humidified gas before its point of use is removed with a drain pipe in combination with a drain valve triggered by a condensation level sensor.Type: GrantFiled: December 15, 2003Date of Patent: January 24, 2006Assignee: Chemflow Systems, Inc.Inventor: Leon Han

Patent number: 6550649Abstract: A counter balanced effluence transfer system for the transfer of effluence from a source container into a receiving reservoir comprises a receiving reservoir having a cover plate and a reservoir top opening, and a counter balanced mechanism located above the receiving reservoir, which includes a pivot point, a source-side member attached to one side of the pivot point and a balance-side member attached to the other side of the pivot point. While the size and weight of the source-side member are made the same as those of the balance-side member, an angular asymmetry is built in between the source arm and the balance arm so that the gravitational source torque Ts and the gravitational balance torque Tb are made unequal. Upon release of the counter balanced mechanism with a latching starting mechanism, the counter balanced mechanism would automatically rotate and complete the pouring of source effluence into the receiving reservoir.Type: GrantFiled: June 6, 2001Date of Patent: April 22, 2003Assignee: ChemFlow Systems, Inc.Inventors: Leon Han, Ted L. Patent number: 6306282Abstract: Waste slurry containing dissolved metal from e.g., CMP is subjected to sludge-free processing. Embodiments include separating the waste slurry with a solids filter into a solids-free dissolved metal-containing liquid filtrate portion and a concentrated solids-containing portion, removing the dissolved metal from the filtrate by means of an ion exchanger, back-washing the concentrated solids-containing portion with metal-free effluent from the ion exchanger to further reduce its dissolved metal content, discharging the washed concentrated solids-containing portion to a waste drain, removing the metal from the ion exchanger in solution form, and optionally extracting solid metal from the solution by electrowinning.Type: GrantFiled: January 4, 1999Date of Patent: October 23, 2001Assignee: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.Inventors: Lawrence James Dungan, Leon Han

Patent number: 4020607Abstract: The sealing device disclosed herein is designed for providing an air tight seal between a door casing and the sides of a vehicle positioned adjacent the casing. It comprises an elongated rigid angular profile having flanges which define a channel-shaped space therebetween and a resilient and collapsible pad structure fastened in the channel-shaped space between the flanges of the angular profile. The pad structure includes a collapsible spongy material enclosed in an air tight envelope, and the interior of the pad communicates with a vacuum source. In its distended position, the material inside the pad structure will cause the pad to expand a considerable distance beyond the flanges of the angular profile so as to abut the sides of the vehicle thereby providing an air tight seal. When a vacuum is applied to the collapsible material, the pad structure will collapse and be retracted almost completely into the channel-shaped space between the flanges of the profile.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 1975Date of Patent: May 3, 1977Inventor: Leon Hans-Hother Bjervig
