  • Publication number: 20170232535
Abstract: An arrow saw includes a blade misting arrangement that provides for control and removal of carbon particulate. The arrow saw includes a base with a mounted motorized saw and an arrow tip support that supports the tip of the archery arrow while cutting. The saw includes a hood enclosing the blade with a misting nozzle for generating a mist within the hood during cutting operations. The mist captures particulate generated during the cutting operation and a vacuum system is connected to the hood to remove the wetted particulate. The arrow saw also has a pressurized water supply inlet coupled to a misting nozzle on the hood for providing a source of pressurized water to the misting nozzle.

  • Patent number: 8517362
Abstract: An arrow fletching jig provides operation that adapts to various arrow shaft diameters and arrow fletching patterns. The fletching jig includes a clamp secured to a base. The clamp secures a fletch at a fixed orientation along the arrow shaft while the fletch is being glued to the arrow shaft. The clamp can be made rotatable to tilt the clamp with respect to the arrow shaft, so that the fletch forms a helicoid around the shaft. The clamp may provide semi-cylindrical notches at each end to maintain spacing of arrow shaft and clamp by contacting the arrow shaft along an inner surface of the semi-cylindrical notches when an end of the clamp is rotated around the shaft to tilt the clamp. The fletching jig may also include a notched arrow shaft clamp for securing the arrow shaft to the base, which is rotated to secure and release the arrow.

  • Patent number: 7644708
Abstract: A bow maintenance press and method provides operation adaptable to various bow designs using adaptable bow press fingers that apply force to the bow limb ends. The bow limb end fingers may be interchangeable to supply different shapes or sizes and/or may provide adjustment in at least a limb end width or length, such that substantially equal force is applied to the bow limb ends of a bow having at least one split limb end. The fingers may be tiltable to adjust for differing limb end lengths and may be spring-loaded to ease in initial placement and retention of a bow before it is compressed.

  • Patent number: 7597094
Abstract: A compound bow maintenance press and method for compressing a compound bow from the bow limb ends provides a shop-installable bow press that prevents damage to the bow riser and limbs during service. The press contacts the bow only at the ends of the bow limbs and compresses the bow from outside of the curvature of the bow, providing clear access to the bow strings and a press that can be secured or stood on a workbench or a floor stand. The bow press can be operated by an electric motor or a hand crank and may include a worm gear drive system that provides for adjusting a telescoping member having arms extending to compress the bow limb ends. A limb end fixture is attached to or integrated with each arm, and provides a slot that accepts the bow limb end pulleys.
