Abstract: Techniques and devices for communicating with a utility node device through a utility node communication device and utilizing resources of a cellular device are described herein. The utility node communication device may connect to and/or release the cellular device (e.g., cellular telephone) providing an enclosure for the cellular device. The utility node communication device may communicate with the utility node device (e.g., a smart utility meter) and utilize a cellular radio of the cellular device to communicate with a head end device of a utility. The utility node communication device may also utilize a processor, memory, display, or operating system of the cellular device.

Abstract: An exercise apparatus and method for isolating an ankle during aerobic exercise on a bicycle configured to be worn on the leg of a person having an ankle injury so that the person may operate the bicycle with the leg having the ankle injury without pressure on the ankle, wherein weight and force are distributed from the pedal to the calf and thigh without implicating the ankle.

Abstract: A method for improving the accuracy of administration of a psychological test by a human rater comprising providing a computer which is programmed to ask a test question, receive an answer from the human rater, and not go on to ask the next question unless and until the rater accurately answers a confirmation question which is designed to insure that the answer to the last question was correct. Computer code and a programmed computer which implement the method are also disclosed.

The polysaccharide makes the coating composition susceptible to enzyme action and thus easily removable by flooding the surface of the coated concrete with a dilute solution of enzyme reactive with the polysaccharide.

Abstract: A one-step process for simultaneously compressing and tempering fiberboard panel, which includes the step of applying to the panel prior to compression thereof an aqueous treating composition which comprises a polyvinyl acetate emulsion and optionally up to 40% of a hydrocarbon emulsion, up to 3% of a fluid, water-soluble organosilicone polymer, or up to 5% by weight of a starch crosslinking agent. The polyvinyl acetate emulsion is prepared in the presence of 6-10% by weight of a starch stabilizer selected from the group consisting of derivatized starches and/or converted starches and 0.5-1.5% of a surfactant. The preferred emulsions are polymerized in the presence of alkenyl succinate starches, most preferably octenyl succinate waxy maize starches.
