  • Patent number: 11051627
Abstract: The invention relates to the field of ergonomic furniture. The device (1) comprises an upper support element (8) for supporting the thighs and a lower support element (9) for supporting the legs or tibias, that can be separated by an open space (11) or recess for the knees. An assembly (7) formed by the two support elements (8, 9) is mounted so that it pivots around a horizontal axis (A) on a bearing structure (2, 6), wherein rotation of the assembly (7) enables the support elements (8, 9) to accompany the lower limbs of a user during a transition from one use position to another. The device (1) is incorporated into an apparatus for maintaining a standing or sitting-standing position, having at least one footrest (4, 5). The device is applicable to the arrangement of a workstation, such as a computer workstation or an industrial workstation.

  • Patent number: 5227959
Abstract: A high frequency electrical connector system for electrically interconnecting corresponding first and second circuit elements includes a first planar array of pad-type contact terminals disposed on a substrate and connected to a first circuit on the substrate, together with first guide structure adjacent the first array of contact terminals. A cooperating second array of pad-type contact terminals is mounted on a rigid nonconductive contact support structure that includes a resilient contact terminal array mounting, camming structure and second guide structure for cooperation with the first guide structure. The contact support structure is resiliently coupled to a carrier structure that includes cooperating camming structure. Flexible multi-conductor interconnection structure has one end electrically connected to a cooperating electrical circuit secured to the carrier structure and its other end connected to corresponding terminals of the second array.

  • Patent number: 5049341
Abstract: The assembly of a support and a slide carried by the support for translational movement relative thereto in which the support defines a slide opening having opposed end edges and opposed side edges, the side edges diverging from each other proceeding from one of said end edges toward the other of said end edges and defining guide means also so diverging, the slide having a pair of side edge formations complementing the guide formations and being of a length less than the distance between the end edges of the slide opening so that upon movement away from the one end edge of the slide opening, a sliding clearance develops between the edge formations of the slide and the guide formations in the opening.

  • Patent number: 5009607
Abstract: A flexible circuit connector is presented which is used to electrically and mechanically connect a flexible circuit to a circuit board or other electronic device. The connector also functions to wipe off any residue or debris on the electrical contacts before final connection. The connector is comprised of a male plug and a female adapter. The male plug comprises two interlocking pieces including a block and a cover. These two pieces allow for easy assembly and disassembly of the plug in conjunction with a flexible circuit. The female adapter comprises a hood which may be fastened directly to a circuit board. Alternatively, the hood may be fastened to a base plate which has gold plated contacts and conductive pins which pass through and which are soldered to the circuit board.

  • Patent number: 4680837
Abstract: A plastic swivel connector for releasably attaching articles together and a mold are provided in complementary architectures which permit the connector to easily be injection molded in a one-shot process with substantial reductions in cycle time and post molding operations compared with other processes for fabricating parts of similar complexity and function. In preferred form, the connector comprises two major parts with one attachable to a garment bag strap and the other clippable to a ring on the bag. One of the connector parts has two intersecting spaces which provide access for interfacing cavity portions that define the connector swivel features and along with other cavity surfaces permit the connector parts to be molded in sequential fashion within the cavity while retaining their identity as separate rotatable parts upon ejection.

  • Patent number: 4253757
Abstract: A spread roller assembly including a housing and a pair of juxtaposed rollers for spreading a processing liquid across a layer of an exposed film unit so as to initiate the formation of a visible image therein. The ends of one of the rollers are mounted in a pair of movable bearings for enabling the roller to move toward and away from the other roller. Each of the movable bearings includes a film engaging member which moves into engagement with a trailing end of a film unit, as the latter moves out of engagement with the rollers, so as to releasably retain the film unit in engagement with a wall of the housing. A unique spring arrangement is provided which applies substantially all of its forces in a direction perpendicular to the axes of the rollers thereby substantially eliminating any adverse side forces being applied to the assembly. The support members for the rollers are adapted to be snap fitted to the housing.

  • Patent number: 3971841
Abstract: Molding devices and methods for producing a low cost, multi-element, adjustable focus lens assembly for use in photographic apparatus. The assembly features a two-part molded plastic lens mount comprising forward and rear mounts, each having an uncentered lens element insert molded and centered therein and an integrally molded screw thread for coupling the forward and rear mounts together. The molding devices comprise cavity molds having movably mounted zonal clamps therein for centering the lens element within the cavity and for disengaging the molded mounts from surfaces in the molds that form the screw threads.

  • Patent number: RE34190
Abstract: A connector system for electrically connecting contacts of a flexible printed circuit carried by a daughter board with fixed contacts carried by a mother board, the flexible circuit serving as a connector to circuits on the daughter board, and the contacts of the flexible printed circuit arranged on an edge of the daughter board. Guides on the mother board enable the daughter board to slide in guided, edge-wise direction toward the face of the mother board, with the contacts on the flexible circuit in registry with contacts on the mother board. Driven cam/locking means carried by the mother board engages mating structure on the daughter board to press the edge of the daughter board tightly toward the face of the mother board in locking motion while camming the daughter board bodily laterally over the surface of the mother board whereby the contacts wipe upon one another as they move into locked position.
