  • Patent number: 7412371
Abstract: A system, and a corresponding method, provides time synchronized playback and control of dissimilar data in a simulation architecture. The system includes a master site including a controller, and agents, implemented by the controller, where the controller directs the agents to control simulation data logging and playback; simulation sites, including: one or more simulation computers, where simulation events occur, a computer, where the agents control the simulation site to record the simulation data, and a local log that stores the simulation data as events, where the agents control the test computer to replay the events; a time reference system including a master site time stamp, local time stamp pair for each of the simulation sites, each of the local time stamps related to a master time stamp, and one or more time normalization factors. The time normalization factors relate times recorded for each of the events to an earliest recorded event and to a time of initiation of a replay command.

  • Patent number: 6102687
Abstract: The invention relates to clean burning of fuel oil with air. More specifically, to a fuel burning combustion head using a low-pressure, high air flow atomizing nozzle so that there will be a complete combustion oil resulting in a minimum emission of pollutants. The inventors have devised a fuel burner that uses a low pressure air atomizing nozzle. The improved fuel burner does not result in the use of additional compressors or the introduction of pressurized gases downstream, nor does it require a complex design.

  • Patent number: 4680006
Abstract: A power oil or gas burner having a centrifugal blower that includes a standardized production scroll housing. Within the space available in the scroll housing a narrow-width, large (maximum) diameter squirrel cage rotor is provided, that is offset away from the air inlet ring of the blower. In combination with a scroll extension carried by the housing and disposed adjacent the rotor, the invention provides a unique barrier wall member that is mounted in the housing and extends within the squirrel cage rotor, such barrier member providing for a more stable flow of air at higher static pressures and higher capacity that was previously attainable, and reducing whine and whistle from the blower operation.

  • Patent number: 4397631
Abstract: A forced-draft gaseous pre-mix power gas burner having a shaped and perforated burner plate wherein the hole sizes are related to the plate thickness and the holes are formed in a unique pattern, all of which prevent flashback and noise or screech while at the same time flame stability is greatly improved. The burner plate is easily installed and removed, is essentially free from stresses which would distort it, and readily fits positively and accurately within the burner assembly without resorting to welding or other special fasteners. A novel ignition-improving device for effecting a stagnant flow at the ignition arc location provides for quick and reliable ignition of the gas at all times.

  • Patent number: 4106193
Abstract: A rotary scraper including a spool with fingers integral therewith and projecting radially therefrom, with the fingers striking the work surface as the wheel rotates, thereby to impact the work surface; the fingers are arranged in a plurality of comb-like structures with the base of each comb inserted in a slot parallel to the axis of the spool. Each comb is locked in place by a cylindrical cover for the spool having a slot displaced radially from the slot in the spool into which each comb is inserted. Each comb is therefore held in place by the S shaped bend thus induced and is curved away from the direction of rotation from the spool. The fingers of each comb are relatively flexible. The curved portion of each comb outside the cover acts as a support for the fingers of the next adjacent comb should they be flexed inwardly beyond the desired point.
