Abstract: The present invention relates to an arrow nock having a metal insert therein. The arrow nock is provided for installation at the fletched end of an arrow shaft, and is configured to receive a bowstring of a hunting bow therein. The arrow nock imparts the force of the bowstring into the arrow shaft to propel the arrow to the target. Repeated use can cause failure of the nock. The solution is to provide the nock with a reinforcement to prevent the failure or breakage of the arrow nock and/or shaft. A reinforcing rod, preferably of metal, extends the length of the nock and is molded into the arrow nock. Optionally, the rod may extend beyond the nock body and into the arrow shaft providing additional support.

The core may include carbon therein. The sleeve includes at least one higher-density front section formed from a fabric material, which is wrapped around and affixed to the core. The sleeve also includes a lower-density rear section wrapped around and affixed to the core behind the front section. The sleeve fabric may have a decorative design or pattern on the exterior surface thereof. The higher density of the front section provides front-of-center weight distribution in the finished arrow shaft. Optionally, accessories may be attached to the arrow shaft to form an arrow.

Abstract: A mount for displaying horns of an animal has a base member. The base has a display portion formed therein. The display portion comprises an opening and a recess formed in the base and in communication with each other. A cover and a backing enclose a photograph or other pictorial to be displayed in the display portion. The cover and backing fit within the recess, but may not pass forwardly into the opening. A nail slot may be provided to facilitate hanging of the mount to a wall or other surface.

Abstract: An apparatus to facilitate aiming of a compound bow includes an indicator to delineate the center line of the bow and a measuring scale to guide arrow placement with respect to the center line. In a preferred embodiment, the center line indicator includes two shafts for attaching to allen screw heads provided on the bow, and one more elastic members which interconnect the shafts.

Abstract: A safety harness especially for hunters who use tree stands is disclosed. The harness comprises a web belt with a buckle for the hunter. Attached to the belt by a "D"-ring is a safety rope which is fastened around the tree and back onto the "D"-ring by a cammed-hook assembly to secure the hunter from falling. The harness is easily portable and is usable both as a climbing harness and as a tether while the hunter is on the tree stand.

Abstract: A sealable funnel assembly is disclosed which comprises a funnel body with a stem portion and cup portion, the stem portion having a hollow bore formed therethrough. A core member is coaxially disposed within the funnel body and includes an upper handle portion and an enlarged lower sealing portion which fits sealingly inside the bore to temporarily prevent fluid flow through the funnel assembly. Motion of the handle portion of the core member upwardly or downwardly serves to either seal off the funnel assembly from fluid flow therethrough or to allow fluid flow through funnel assembly. The cup portion may have indicia inscribed thereon to aid in using the apparatus as a measuring device.

Abstract: An ultrasonic sound producing apparatus for mounting on a vehicle to warn animals of the approach of the vehicle includes (a) a housing, (b) an electrically actuated member for generating an electric tone, and (c) a base for supporting the housing and for mounting the apparatus to a vehicle. In a preferred embodiment, the tone generating member includes a piezoelectric crystal.

Abstract: A bow press for facilitating the re-stringing of a split limb bow includes a pair of spaced apart handles which engage the exterior of the limbs via the slots formed therein. A rotatable lever to which the handles are interconnected, when rotated from a first position to a second position, causes inward compression of the limbs toward each other. An adjustment rod, which is variable in length, reduces or extends the length between the two handles to accommodate bows of various sizes.

Abstract: A bow square 10 is defined by a T-shaped planar member 12 having calibrations 18 along the length of each leg 14,16 on each face thereof. The bow square 10 includes a slidably adjustable gauge 22 which is mounted on one leg for enabling proper location of a nocking point, a kisser button and/or peepsight. Leaf spring clip mounts 24 enable multi-positioning of the bow square 10 onto a bow string 52.
