  • Patent number: 10264925
Abstract: Described is a prefabricated bathtub or shower pan with curved outer edges and an elevated threshold that act as returning points for water. More specifically, the bathtub or shower pan are formed to include a drain area surrounded by interior sides and a threshold dam. A side ledge is formed atop each of the interior sides, each side ledge having a top edge. Surrounding walls rise from the top edge of each side ledge. Further, the threshold dam has an angled top surface with a lower edge. Notably, the lower edge of the angled top surface is higher than the top edge of each of the side ledges to prevent any water from running from the side ledges onto the threshold dam. The bathtub or shower pan also include curved outer edges that transition from a side wall and onto the threshold dam to return water to the drain area.

  • Patent number: 9782045
Abstract: Described is a multi-piece shower pan. The multi-piece shower pan includes a shower pan piece and a seat piece. The seat piece is formed to overlap a portion of the show pan piece during installation. The shower pan piece includes a drain hole designed to fit a drain pipe such that when the drain pipe is fastened to the shower pan piece, the drain pipe extends ½ to 2 inches above the bottom of the shower pan piece. Thus, when cement or other adhesive is floated on the interior surface of the shower pan, tiles of varying thickness can be installed in such a manner that the top surface of the tiles are flush with the top portion of the drain pipe. The shower pan piece also has a water dam with a fin as added protection against water migration outside the shower pan.

  • Patent number: 9756987
Abstract: Described is a one-piece shower pan with a seat having no openings for water leakage, other than the drain hole. The shower pan includes a drain hole designed to fit a conventional drain pipe such that when the conventional drain pipe is fastened to the shower pan, the conventional drain pipe extends ½ to 2 inches above the bottom of the shower pan. In this way, when cement or other adhesive is floated on the interior surface of the shower pan, tiles of varying thickness can be installed in such a manner that the top surface of the tiles are substantially flush with the top portion of the conventional drain pipe. The shower pan also has a water dam with a fin extending vertically on the outer edge of the water dam as added protection against water migration outside the shower pan.

  • Patent number: 9080324
Abstract: A ring-shaped biodegradable shower drain weep holes gasket is disclosed that slips over the top of the shower drain. The gasket fits tightly over the top of the drain to solve the problem of material clogging the shower drain weep holes and additionally preventing any deck mud or debris from entering and clogging the weep holes during installation. Approximately ?ths inch high by 5/2ths inch wide at an inner diameter of 31/5ths inch, the biodegradable shower gasket then surrounds the shower drain's top flange and weep holes. Over a short period of time, the moisture in the cement along with any moisture that seeps through the tile or grout will dissolve the biodegradable gasket creating a permanent opening for water to drain out through the weep holes.

  • Patent number: 8166618
Abstract: A strapping device used for installing, supporting, and sealing under-mount sinks comprises a series of straps looped by a series of rings and locking tightening devices. The locking tightening devices are used to tighten the straps and raise and support an under-mount sink in position. The rings and straps are anchored to hooks attached to the edge of the sink opening on the counter top underlay. A series of hooks are capable of holding a series of straps under tension to support an under mount sink in position with a located on the lip of the under-mount sink. A continuous loop of closed cell PVC is disposed atop the lip of the sink, so that when the sink is tightened through the countertop underlay, the lip of the sink encounters the underside of the countertop and the sealing material is compressed, forming a permanent, flexible, water-tight seal.

  • Publication number: 20120030871
Abstract: A waterproof article for stopping water leakage from a bathroom tub or shower enclosure and the method of using the article, having a vertical and horizontal member adjoined at a right angle, of which a rib is projected perpendicularly from the longitudinal center line of both members in continuous contact along the entire length of the rib. The waterproof adhesive backing initially protected with a strip of film, is used to fix the article on the center line of where a shower door will install. A bore on the vertical member is utilized to secure the article on a bathtub flange or shower pan. All seams and crevices about the perimeter of the article are liberally caulked using silicon during installation to ensure addition protection.
