Abstract: This is disclosed a flexible, scalable channelized processing system composed of a relatively small number of component types. It extends switching fabric concepts into the processor FPGAs to create advantageously thereby a “processing fabric” that allows the same buses to be shared by multiple data channels, that assists on coordinating the timing of events, and that assists on management functions (related to administration, monitoring and supervision) of the processing.
