  • Patent number: 6606952
Abstract: A shotgun adapter is provided for firing a shotgun cartridge having a shotgun bore which is larger than the cartridge. The adapter is a generally hollow tubular member having a cylindrical tapered outer wall and an inner wall concentric with the outer wall, with the inner wall being uniquely tapered to specified degrees depending on the shell gauge to be used.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 11, 2002
Date of Patent: August 19, 2003
    Assignee: Little Skeeters, LLC
Inventors: Leonard J. Vallender, Joseph Scancarello

  • Patent number: 6446559
Abstract: A shotgun adapter is provided for firing a shotgun cartridge having a shotgun bore which is larger than the cartridge. The adapter is a generally hollow tubular member having a cylindrical outer wall and an inner wall concentric with the outer wall, with the inner wall and outer wall being uniquely tapered to specified degrees designed to improve the shooting accuracy when skeet shooting with different gauge cartridges.

  • Patent number: 5145078
Abstract: An improved pilfer-proof screw-on bottle cap having a ring section attached thereto with frangible bridges, wherein the ring section has at least four inwardly extending molded-in-place hooks. The hooks are circumferentially positioned at the edge of the ring section distal to the cap and engage a radially extending bead on the bottle, thereby preventing upward movement of the ring section together with removal of the bottle cap. The frangible bridges break under continued removal forces, thereby causing the ring section to become detached as an indication of tampering. The frangible bridges are located relative to the radially extending bead of the bottle at a position proximate to and no higher than the lower edge of the bead.

  • Patent number: 5007554
Abstract: A non-removable fulcrum-type lift tab, for opening a metal beverage container, is modified, by the inclusion of a lanced line at a position between the fulcrum pivoting line and the pushing end of the tab. The lanced line extends in a direction substantially perpendicular to the fulcrum-directed pushing force used to open the container, whereby, upon initial lifting of the tab, the lanced line opens, in a limited material separation. This results in substantially less lifting force (about 30% less), being needed to elevate the tab end about 1/4 inch (about 6 mm) for a finger to be more easily inserted for completion of the opening of the container. At this stage, the ends of the lanced line, such as in the configuration of drilled holes or inwardly arcuate lanced sections, stop continued material separation by providing a high resistance to such separation.

  • Patent number: 4673158
Abstract: Apparatus for forming a plastic pilfer-proof cap that comprises a ring, a plurality of inwardly directed hooks joined to one edge of the ring by hinge portions, and a weakened region is integrally molded with a main closure portion comprising a closed end and a skirt extending from the closed end and having an edge to which the pilfer-proof is attached during the molding. The hooks define sectors of a generally frusto-conical shell and extend inwardly and upwardly toward the closed end from the remote end of the ring. The hooks are released from the mold by rotating a mold portion that forms the respective hidden surfaces of the hooks and by pivoting the hooks radially outwardly toward the respective parts of the inner surface of the ring with respect to which the hidden surfaces are juxtaposed.

  • Patent number: 3938623
Abstract: A grease gun having a hollow cylindrical body closed at one end and threadedly engaged at the other end with a removable delivery nozzle. Within the cylindrical body there is a central push rod having one end extending through a central aperture in the closed end thereof which is slidably retained to a plunger within the body by means of a locking ring, and a barrel spring around the push rod adapted to be compressed during retraction of the push rod and its associated plunger. The push rod comprises a circumferentially recessed groove between the locking ring and exposed end and an elongated detent portion in spaced relation to the circumferentially recessed groove near the exposed end. The removable delivery nozzle includes a central bore and a check valve therein adapted to be biased by the pressure of the grease in the cylindrical body in order to permit the passage of the grease therefrom into the removable delivery nozzle.
