Abstract: A system and method for educating students such that each student can learn material individually and progress through lessons at the student's own pace. The system can present the student with different versions of each lesson for alternate explanations of the educational concepts taught by the lesson. The system can allow each student to progress to the next lesson only when the system confirms that the student understands the educational concepts taught by the lesson, and can provide additional explanations of any material the student has difficulty understanding.

Abstract: A portable collapsible clothes dryer kit including two clothing article dryer units for engaging and spreading different articles of clothing, one of the units being supported by spaced, elongated flexible elements and the other of the units being supported by a coat hanger.

Abstract: Apparatus for visually indicating when the pressure of a pneumatic tire falls below a desired level includes a support and two arms independently slidably movable along the support. The arms are selectively locked against movement relative to the support and the arms are retractable for storage purposes. The invention also encompasses a method of utilizing the apparatus to monitor the pressure of a pneumatic tire.

Abstract: A tubular body having an open and closed ends is provided for loosely receiving a conventional screw-on oil filter therein. The tubular body open end is structured to form a fluid tight seal with the outwardly facing surface of a filter mounting location and the tubular body includes a circumferentially extending zone which is accordion pleated and yieldingly axially compressible. The inner surfaces of the tubular body, at the closed end thereof, are structured to at least reasonably non-slip engage the outer surfaces of the closed end of a filter disposed within the tubular body whereby rotational torque applied to the closed end of the tubular body will be transferred to the filter. The open end of the tubular body is provided with a removable cover and the covered tubular body may comprise a container for marketing a new oil filter and thereafter containing a used oil filter for facilitating disposal thereof.

Abstract: An integral support is provided incorporating a pair of horizontally spaced-apart, horizontally opening and edge upstanding panel member-like U-shaped members. The U-shaped members open in the same horizontal direction and a connecting panel portion extends between adjacent legs of the side-by-side U-shaped members. The free ends of the remote legs of the U-shaped members include hand grip defining openings and the legs of the U-shaped members are divergent toward the free ends thereof.

Abstract: A hinge for display panels and the like that holds a movable panel in any of two or more fixed positions about a horizontal axis. The hinge consists of a fixed bracket containing matching curvilinear slots which enclose tabs extending from a movable panel. Gravity and friction hold the movable panel in a storage position; from that position the panel is easily moved downward and forward simultaneously, to another predetermined position.

Abstract: A cover for an oil filter in the form of a cup-shaped body or cover having a central opening for receiving an oil filter, a reservoir space formed between the cover and the oil filter, flexible spacers disposed between the inner surface of the cover and oil filter and a bellows or compressible series of accordion folds in the container surface. The folds urge closure of seals at opposite ends of the cover with their contacting elements. The body or oil filter cover may be constructed of heat resistant, flexible, resilient, transparent or translucent plastic material.

Abstract: A book holder for attachment to kitchen cabinets, shelves and the like and adapted for permanent mounting thereon includes a pivotally mounted book supporting portion which can be extended forward and below the leading edge of the cabinet or shelf without occupying table or counter space and which can be moved into a concealed position and stored beneath the cabinet. The book holder further includes an adjustable support arm which can change the angle of the book supporting portion when extended.
