A first unique global identifier is associated with the document file. A content storage device associated with a second unique global identifier is provided. The content storage device is coupled for communication with the processor of the electronic device. The document file is then provided to the user providing by storing the document file on the content storage device, but only if the first unique global identifier corresponds to the second unique global identifier in a predetermined manner.
