  • Patent number: 5057033
Abstract: Device for connecting a branch connector to an insulated main conductor has a body made from a strip of metal that is a good electrical conductor. This body is cut and folded to a U-shape cross-section comprising a web, two flanges and lugs for connecting the branch conductors. The U-shape cross-section part includes two slots adapted to be forced-fitted to the insulated main conductor to cut the insulation and make the electrical connection.

  • Patent number: 5015013
Abstract: A connector fitting for a corrugated conduit comprises complementary first and second parts together defining a cylindrical body. They are molded in one piece with a strip which links the first and second parts together in the manner of a hinge. There is at least one rib on each part disposed in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the part. At the free end of the first part opposite that adjoining the hinge is a first locking member. There is a complementary second locking member at the free end of the second part opposite that adjoining the hinge. A third locking member is provided on one edge of the first part adjoining the hinge and a complementary fourth locking member on an edge of the second part adjoining the hinge. The first locking member comprises a first bar and an outwardly facing first hook at the end of the first bar. The third locking member comprises a second bar and an outwardly facing second hook at the end of the second bar.

  • Patent number: 5000699
Abstract: A device for interconnecting conductors in a group of electrical conductors includes a casing having at one end an opening adapted to receive a complementary member. It is adapted at the other end to receive a connecting strip. In its back it has a partition with two series of channels passing through it. The connecting strip is bent from a flat blank of a good electrical conductor to form a U-shape comprising flanges and a core. Parallel tangs perpendicular to the core of the U-shape are cut out from the flanges. The device further comprises a cover with latching devices adapted to cooperate with corresponding latching devices on the casing to lock the connecting strip against the partition by pressing against the outside of the core of the connecting strip.

  • Patent number: 4957451
Abstract: A male electrical contact comprises a substantially U-shape body incorporating two side members and a center member. There is a bar at one end and the other end is adapted for connecting the body to an electrical conductor. The contact is manufactured by bending a blank formed from a material that is a good electrical conductor. The material comprises two strips of different thickness. The bar and the adjoining part of the body are formed from the thicker of these strips.

  • Patent number: 4954093
Abstract: An electrical connector comprises a first casing member in which is a series of housings each adapted to receive a respective one of a plurality of male contact members each incorporating a tang. The connector further comprises a second casing member complementary to the first casing member in which are a series of housings each adapted to receive a respective female contact member each adapted to cooperate with the tang on a respective male contact member to make an electrical connection. The connector further comprises a plurality of connection channels each adapted to have a tang passed through it and a shunt module adapted to receive these electrical connection channels. The shunt module comprises an insulative material body and a series of passages adapted to coincide with respective housings of the first casing member and to receive a respective electrical connection channel. A skirt on one casing member is adapted to receive the shunt module.
