  • Patent number: 7344273
Abstract: An illumination device having a plurality of light sources, a user manipulable control and a circuit. The circuit receives an input from the user manipulable control, determines an illumination angle of the plurality of light sources based upon the input, and illuminates at least one of the light sources such that the light sources are illuminated in accordance with the illumination angle.

  • Patent number: 7096617
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a draft beverage tap handle. The handle includes a body portion and a handle portion. The body portion includes a battery, a light source, a microprocessor, a motion sensor, and a timer. The microprocessor controls electrical current supplied to the light source from the battery. The motion sensor detects when the beverage tap handle has been moved to dispense a beverage. The timer causes electrical current to be interrupted to the light source from the battery when a predetermined period of time has expired. The handle portion is made from a translucent material having an internal cavity for accepting the body portion.

  • Patent number: 6359239
Abstract: A cutting board suitable for commercial or non-commercial purposes in which food can be cut on a cutting surface of the cutting board surface and slid quickly and simply to a separate scale weighing surface of the cutting board surface to be weighed. The weighing surface on which the food is weighed is separately supported by a scale and move upwardly and downwardly independent of the cutting area. The cutting board also includes a visual display that displays information representative of the food, such as, for example, the weight of the food resting on the scale surface. A control panel includes one or more selector switches that allow the user to customize information displayed on the visual display and input information representative of the food. The cutting surface, weighing surface, visual display and control panel are sealed as to prevent food, liquid, washing solution, or the like, from entering the cutting board.

  • Patent number: 5943653
Abstract: A system for providing data related to discounted services available near a given location. The system includes a memory storing compressed service data representative of a plurality of services in various locations categorized by type of service and compressed coupon data representative of discounts available for the services. The system also includes a book of coupons corresponding to the discounted services wherein the coupon data includes identifying numbers which identify locations of coupons within the coupon book corresponding to the discounts available for the services. A data entry circuit receives and compresses input data identifying a desired category of services and the given location and a microprocessor, receiving and responsive to the compressed input data, selectively retrieves the service data and coupon data from the memory.

  • Patent number: 5229947
Abstract: A data processing device for providing data related to the categories of services available at locations along a highway in response to operator input is disclosed. The device includes a memory, a keyboard for entering input data identifying a desired service and an origin position into the memory. The input data is compressed before it is stored in the memory. The memory stores predetermined data in a compressed form related to the categories of services available at locations along the highway. The device also includes a microprocessor for retrieving from the memory the predetermined data which is a function of the input data. The microprocessor expands the retrieved compressed data into an operator readable form and provides the expanded data to a display for displaying the expanded retrieved data such as restaurants, gas stations, motels, or other services along the highway.
