  • Patent number: 10399703
Abstract: An articulated support includes a base and pitch-roll-yaw assembly having a pitch/roll subassembly and a yaw subassembly. The pitch/roll subassembly includes a central member configured for spring-loaded rotation about a pitch/roll axis, and the yaw subassembly has a U-shaped member configured (a) at end portions to engage under-wing connection lugs of an unmanned aircraft system (UAS) and (b) at a central portion to mate to the central member of the pitch/roll subassembly in a rotatable manner providing for rotation of the yaw subassembly about a yaw axis. The pitch/roll subassembly and yaw subassembly are further co-configured to define first and second fixed yaw positions in which a fuselage of the UAS is, respectively, parallel to and perpendicular to the pitch/roll axis, permitting roll motion and pitch motion of the UAS when mounted on the articulated support.

  • Patent number: 7175578
Abstract: A rotary die cutter having an anvil cylinder that is operable alternately with one of a pair of die cylinders includes a vertical support and rectilinear translation arrangement that permits selective repositioning of each of the die cylinders between an operative position and a stand-by position utilizing various combinations of horizontal and vertical linear movement of the cylinders. In the presently preferred embodiment, the supporting frames of all three cylinders, in operation, are in abutting contact and vertically aligned to assure that shock loads are directed vertically downwardly into the supporting base. The operator has direct access to each of the die cylinders for maintenance and order change from a single station positioned below the board line.

  • Publication number: 20040110621
Abstract: A printing machine with a folding section is disclosed in which the folding section includes a folding guide over which sheets of material are folded, and in which the end of the folding guide includes a flexible tip portion to prevent undue folding of a portion of the sheet relative to other portions of the sheet.

  • Patent number: 5651313
Abstract: A paperboard processing machine is disclosed for printing and otherwise processing sheets of paperboard, such as corrugated container blanks, and in which the sheets are conveyed from one section of the machine to another section by one or more vacuum transfer systems. Each vacuum transfer system comprises an enclosure which is closed by a closure plate for creating a subatmospheric pressure, which pressure forces the sheets into frictional engagement with the reaches of a plurality of conveyor belts whereby the sheets are transported without contact of the opposite side of the sheet not contacted by the conveyor reach.
