  • Patent number: 10921602
Abstract: A head-mounted device (HMD) whose circumference is dynamically adjustable to conform to different head sizes and shapes is disclosed herein. The HMD includes a front-end and back-end housing. The front-end housing includes a first compute unit, and the back-end housing includes a second compute unit. The HMD also includes two adjustable flex fit arms that connect the front-end housing to the back-end housing. The HMD has an enclosed rounded boundary that is placeable around a user's head. The HMD also includes a nested flexible cable ribbon, which is nested within a cavity of one of the arms and which includes both a static bend and a dynamic bend. The bend radius for the dynamic bend is larger than the bend radius of the static bend. The dynamic bend enables the nested flexible cable ribbon to expand or contract when the circumference of the enclosed rounded boundary changes.

  • Patent number: 9699283
Abstract: A shell is configured to attach to an electronic portable device (such as a smart phone or a pad/tablet-styled device). The shell comprises a unitary integral component having a stand that selectively moves between a deployed position and a stowed position and a corresponding stand brace that selectively moves between a deployed position and a stowed position. By one approach the stand pivots with respect to a portion of the shell that attaches to the electronic portable device and the stand brace pivots with respect to the stand. By one approach the stand and the stand brace are substantially disposed planar to one another when both are in their respective stowed positions. By one approach a free end of the stand brace contacts the electronic portable device when the stand brace is in its deployed position to thereby bias the stand towards the deployed position for the stand.

  • Patent number: 9498552
Abstract: A mist-generating device that can be connected to a vehicle's Low Direct Current Voltage (LDCV) power supply is disclosed. The device can be used to treat mold, bacteria and clean or remove odors on exposed and hard-to-reach surfaces of the interior of a car. The device can include a unique filling system that can be used to prevent foreign materials from entering into the unit, including fluids or substances that would deteriorate the performance of the unit or the components of the device itself. The inside of the device can include an internal anti-foam and anti-splash structure designed to keep electronic components dry and reduce the foaming and turbulence of the fluid being misted. Further, the inside of the device in one embodiment is split into three adjacent areas, which govern efficient flow of air and atomized chemicals through the device.
