    Abstract: A motor car including a central body with a nose having a tapered shape, an intermediate portion in which a driver's compartment is formed, and a tail portion having a tapered shape. The body is shaped such that, during movement, it generates a substantially zero overall lift. A pair of steering front wheels is connected externally to the front portion of the central body and each of them has, associated therewith, a front fairing which leaves a top portion of the wheel uncovered. These fairings are connected to the ends of a front transverse wing which extends from both sides of the nose of the central body and which is profiled so as to generate a negative lift during movement. A pair of rear wheels are connected to the tail portion of the central body and each of them has, associated therewith, a front fairing and rear fairing which leave a top portion of the wheel uncovered.

The arrangement is such that the covering element or roof (3) can be pivoted about the axis (4) between a closed position, where it is arranged so as to lie at least approximately horizontally, and a midway open position, where it is arranged so as to lie substantially vertically. The covering element or roof (3) is then displaceable downwards from said midway open position into a final concealed position where it is contained so as to lie substantially vertically inside the stowage compartment (6).

    Abstract: A method for controlling the movement of a motor vehicle provided with tires which cooperate with the ground to define respective footprints includes monitoring the behavior of the footprints and generating at least one respective footprint signal indicative of the behavior of the footprints, using the footprint signal to control the movement of the motor vehicle and detecting at least one driving control signal generated by the driver and processing the driving control signal in dependence on the footprint signal for controlling the movement of the motor vehicle. A suitable system for carrying out the method is provided which includes extensometric transducers incorporated in the flexible structure of the tire which will deform as a result of the tire bearing on the ground so as to generate signals indicative of the behavior of the bearing region of the tread.
