  • Patent number: 11877126
Abstract: Techniques, methods, systems, and other mechanisms for measuring the excursion of a speaker while being actively driven. Measuring excursion can involve attaching a flexible printed coil (FPC), including a sense coil, to the speaker, and monitoring an induced current as produced though the sense coil, and further detecting that violation of an excursion limit for the speaker may likely occur.

  • Publication number: 20230379645
Abstract: The technology generally relates to spatial audio communication between devices. For example, a first device and a second device may be connected via a communication link. The first device may capture audio signals in an environment through two or more microphones. The first device may encode the captured audio with spatial configuration data. The first device may transmit the encoded audio via the communication link to the second device. The second device may decode the encoded audio into binaural or ambisonic audio to be output by one or more speakers of the second device. The binaural or ambisonic audio may be converted into spatial audio to be output. The second device may output the binaural or spatial audio to create an immersive listening experience.

  • Patent number: 11558505
Abstract: An example method includes receiving, by a computational assistant executing at one or more processors of a mobile computing device and via a wireless link between the mobile computing device and an external device, a representation of audio data generated by a microphone of the external device, the audio data representing a spoken utterance detected by the external device; determining, by the computational assistant and based on the audio data, a response to the spoken utterance; and sending, by the mobile computing device, to the external device, and via the wireless link between the mobile computing device and the external device, a command to output, for playback by one or more speakers connected to the external device via a hardwired analog removable connector of the external device or a wireless link between the external device and the one or more speakers, audio data representing the response to the spoken utterance.
