    Abstract: The invention relates to a multi-head friction welding method and a device for carrying out said method. According to said invention, the axes of the eccentric shafts of moulded pieces, which are oriented to each other and tensioned in relation to each other, can be adjusted in relation to each other with an axial offset from ?=0 to ?=2r, wherein r is the oscillation amplitude, and the phase vectors of both friction welding heads reach a common orbital position at least at the end of the friction welding process. The eccentric shafts of the friction welding heads are braked from a substantially in-phase or anti-phase position at the end of the friction welding process, while maintaining the phase rotation direction, and the phase vectors of both friction welding heads stop in a common position on the orbital curves.
