  • Patent number: 4183424
Abstract: A vehicle gearchange lever comprising a rod with a longitudinal hollow accommodating a current conduction element electrically connected with a clutch and with a contact mounted on said rod. The gearchange lever also comprises a knob with a contact mounted therein, which knob is elastically mounted on the rod and is adapted to be moved relative to the rod for the purpose of closing the contacts in the process of gearchange. The contact mounted on the rod is constructed in the form of a cup installed on a sleeve made of an insulating material and removably mounted on the rod. The knob is hollow, has a hole for the rod to fit therethrough with a clearance, and bears on a shoulder provided on the rod. Said clearance is dimensioned so as to enable the contacts to be closed by moving the knob in the process of gearchange.

  • Patent number: 4152894
Abstract: A control system of the hydraulic torque converter of a transport vehicle wherein the space formed by the converter wheels and the space of the coupling which locks said wheels are in communication, through a changeover valve actuated by a signal of the RPM transmitter of the engine shaft of the transport vehicle, with the discharge line of the pump, said line communicating with the source of fluid via a reducing valve. The system incorporates an auxiliary pump whose discharge line communicates with the discharge line of said pump through a check valve and, through a valve actuated by the pressure of fluid contained in the space of the locking coupling, with the source of fluid.

  • Patent number: 4131184
Abstract: A vehicle drive transmission comprising an air released main clutch connected between a torque convertor and multiple ratio gear transmisson. A lock up clutch for the convertor turbine and impeller is engaged by hydraulic pressure when an engine drive governor reaches a predetermined speed and opens a governor valve. The main clutch is released by a motor controlled by a solenoid valve which selectively connects the motor to a source of air pressure or to atmosphere via a restricted orifice and a normally closed air inlet valve. The restriction retards the engagement of the main clutch when the engine is rotating below the predetermined speed, and above said predetermined speed, the governor valve opens to engage the lock-up clutch and to open the air inlet valve whereby the main clutch may be engaged at a faster rate.

  • Patent number: 4123942
Abstract: A centrifugal governor whose body accommodates an input element adapted for rotation and a coaxially-arranged output element adapted for axial motion during rotation of the input element under the effect of the weights arranged between them. There also are levers arranged between the input and output elements so that the turning axle of each lever is secured on the input element, one arm of the lever is in constant contact with the output element and the other one contacts the corresponding weight in the course of rotation of the input element, this layout increasing considerably the axial force on the output element.
