    Abstract: Power circuitry for non-thermal plasma generation; optionally therapeutic plasma. Non-thermal plasma is generated distally by a catheter-like device which is flexible, narrow (e.g., diameter<5 mm), and longitudinally extended to reach, e.g., 50-100 cm into body cavities. A plasma probe power transmission cable is a part of the power generating circuit, its intrinsic impedance contributing to and constraining the time constant of an entraining RC circuit whose resonant frequency entrains the frequency of power generation by feedback. Variable length, construction and/or manufacture (for example) of the plasma probe potentially lead to different time constants. In some embodiments, transformer coupling is divided into a plurality of stages, allowing the final-stage transformer inductance to be selected with sufficient headroom to allow the use of compensation componentry to mask probe variability and maintain a targeted operating frequency.

    Abstract: In one aspect, the present invention is directed to a method for balancing a load on a cluster providing a service and failing over ceasing a server of the cluster, the method comprising the steps of: for each of the servers of a cluster: broadcasting a heartbeat (e.g. according to the ARP protocol); indicating the availability of each of the other servers of the cluster according to the heartbeats received from the other servers; and determining if the server is the master according to a predefined rule which all the available servers are familiar with. Then, the master divides the activity for providing the service among the available servers of the cluster.

On indicating an email message as Spam, blocking the email message. On indicating an email message as non-Spam, redirecting the email message to the permanent email address of the individual. In one embodiment of the invention, the intermediating email address expires after a predefined or arbitrary period. The method may be implemented by an email client associated with the intermediating email address, an email server, a proxy server, a gateway server and so forth.

    Abstract: A file system for distributing content in a data network, includes a file replication and transfer system and a replicated file receiver system. The file replication and transfer system includes an interface file system which looks for changes made to contents of a file created and stored in an associated work file system; and a file system monitor communicatively associated with the interface filing system for monitoring events occurring with the interface file system and causing copies of the new files to be transferred over the data network to the replicated file receiver system. The interface file system also looks for changes made to the contents of files already stored in the work file system and creates an update file in a mirror file system if a change to the contents of a file stored in the work file system is observed by the interface file system. A collector file system communicatively associated with the mirror file system is provided for temporarily storing a copy of the update file.

    Abstract: Updating a file which is currently open is accomplished by allowing current users to continue accessing the original file while redirecting new users to an updated version. When user activity permits, the updated version is substituted for the original file. An auxiliary program detects when a server application attempts to access an out-of-date file version and redirects the access call to the up-to-date file version. When no users are accessing the out-of-date file version, the up-to-date version of the file is substituted thereby allowing access to the most recent file version without creating errors for users who are accessing the older file version. New updates of files are transferred from a master site to a temporary location, accessible intermediate location, and finally to a permanent location.
