  • Publication number: 20240051497
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for providing passive entry to a vehicle to a user with an authorized mobile device. Responsive to receiving, at a vehicle and from an application executing on a mobile device associated with a user, one or more signals associated with the mobile device, a signal strength and contextual information associated with the mobile device is determined based on the one or more signals. A passive entry feature of the vehicle is initiated based on the signal strength and the contextual information.

  • Publication number: 20230391289
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for controlling power modes of a vehicle and for providing passive entry to the vehicle. A sleep command can be sent from a central controller to multiple domain controllers to enter a sleep state. When the sleep command is received by a first domain controller, a sleep state is entered. When the sleep command is received by a second domain controller, a stealth state is entered. While in the stealth state, the second domain controller periodically wakes up from a sleep state to monitor a condition. In response to detecting a first condition, the second domain controller returns to the sleep state. In response to detecting a second condition, the second domain controller sends a notification of the second condition to the central controller.

  • Publication number: 20230114701
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for managing communications between a vehicle and a user device. A user device may be determined to be authorized to communicate with a vehicle. A signal strength of a signal transmitted between the vehicle and the user device is determined, and a determination is made whether the signal strength exceeds a threshold signal strength. In response to determining that the signal strength exceeds the threshold signal strength, a communication command is enabled to be transmitted from the user device to the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20230106867
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for associating, by a server and in a data store maintained by the server, a user account with a vehicle; associating, by the server and in the data store, the user account with a user profile, the user profile including one or more preferred vehicle attribute settings; upon receiving an indication that a user is approaching the vehicle, causing, by the server, the user account to be automatically logged into at the vehicle; in response to logging into the user account, retrieving, by the server, the user profile associated with the user account; and causing, by the server, the user profile to be loaded at the vehicle such that attributes of the vehicle are modified based on the preferred vehicle attribute settings stored in the user profile.

  • Patent number: 11608028
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for controlling power modes of a vehicle and for providing passive entry to the vehicle. Responsive to a determination that a device is within a first distance from the vehicle, a wake-up action of the vehicle is initiated. The wake-up action includes a central controller transitioning one or more electronic control units (ECUs) or at least one program module from a first state to a second state. Responsive to a determination that the device is within a second distance from the vehicle, a welcome action of the vehicle is initiated. The welcome action includes the central controller causing the one or more ECUs or the at least one program module of the vehicle to execute an action associated with the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20230077561
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for remotely controlling a vehicle. A command for controlling the vehicle may be received via a user interface of the device, a command for controlling the vehicle and a determination of whether a first two-way wireless connection is available between the device and the vehicle is made. In response to determining that the two-way wireless connection is available, the command is transmitted to the vehicle via the first two-way wireless connection. In response to determining that the first two-way wireless connection is not available, the command is transmitted to a remote server associated with the vehicle via a second two-way connection. In response to receiving a request to display the status information of the vehicle, the most recent status information received via the first two-way wireless connection or retrieved from a memory is displayed.

  • Publication number: 20230071702
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided to communicate, by a server, with a vehicle over a second communication path, where the vehicle is configured to communicate with a user device over a first communication path. The server may associate a user device with an authenticated user profile that is associated with the vehicle. The server may identify a public-private key pair associated with the user device and a public-private key pair associated with the vehicle. Processing circuitry may generate a shared key based on the public-private key pair associated with the user device and the public-private key pair associated with the vehicle, and the processing circuitry may establish a communication channel between the user device and the vehicle over the first communication path using the shared key.
