    Abstract: A method and a platoon manager for enabling a first wireless device located in a first vehicle to communicate over a cellular network when the first wireless device has no connection to the cellular network. After identifying a vehicle platoon to which the first vehicle belongs, a relay vehicle is found in the vehicle platoon where a second wireless device is located that has a connection to the cellular network. The second wireless device is then instructed to act as a relay to the cellular network for the communication with the first wireless device by means of a wireless Device-to-Device (D2D) link between the first and second wireless devices.

    Abstract: A first network node, a client device and methods therein, for enabling acquisition and delivery of a resource to the client device in a communications network. When receiving from the client device a meta interest request indicating an interest for a wanted resource, the first network node extracts from the meta interest request one or more filter parameters related to desirable characteristics of the wanted resource. The first network node then obtains identifiers of resources available in the communications network, based on the one or more filter parameters, and sends the obtained identifiers of resources to the client device in response to the received meta interest request. Thereby, a user of the client device can see which resources with the desirable characteristics are available in the network and acquire one of the resources identified in this way, without having to specify the supplier nor the resource in the initial request.

    Abstract: A method performed in a network node for handling an Internet Protocol, IP, packet. The IP packet originates from a source node and addresses to a destination node in an IP communication network. Upon receipt of the IP packet, the network node decapsulates the IP packet to obtain, from a network layer header of the IP packet, an indication of a point in time to drop the IP packet. The point in time to drop the IP packet is based on a first maximum delay of the IP packet between the source node and the destination node. The first maximum delay was obtained from an application software running on the source node. The network node determines whether or not to drop the IP packet based on the indication, using a clock of the network node synchronized with a clock of the source node.

    Abstract: A method for providing a software update package (SUP) to an Internet of Things (IoT) device via a user's communication device (UCD) is disclosed. In some embodiments, the method includes the UCD automatically discovering that a SUP needs to be provided to the IoT device. The UCD obtains the needed SUP from a software administration server (SAS). The UCD transmits the SUP to the IoT device using a first short range wireless signal. After transmitting the SUP to the IoT device, the UCD receives confirmation data transmitted wirelessly by the IoT device using a second short range wireless signal. The confirmation data confirms that the IoT device received the SUP. The UCD transmits the confirmation data to the SAS. The SAS may verify the confirmation data and, if verified, provide a reward to the user of the UCD. In this way, crowd sourcing can be used to provide SUPs to many IoT devices.
