Publication number: 20240122737Abstract: An apparatus for supporting a urinary catheter collection reservoir on an article of footwear or clothing of a catheter user. A catch is fastened to the article of footwear or clothing. A carrier includes a hook portion configured to be received within and supported by the catch. The carrier also includes a cradle portion configured to receive and support at least a portion of said reservoir. A urine reservoir constructed to wrap around and attach to a catheter user's lower leg above the ankle so that the weight of the reservoir is supported on the ankle and above the foot. The reservoir is formed from overlapping, elongated strips of flexible, water-impermeable material having a central portion and opposed end portions. An internal urine cavity is formed in the central portion between the strips. First and second inter-engageable fasteners are formed at opposed, lengthwise ends of said strips to connect the reservoir around user's lower leg.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 25, 2023Publication date: April 18, 2024Inventor: Leonid Shendelman

Patent number: 11707602Abstract: A catheter system includes an indwelling, hollow catheter having a tip inserted into a person's bladder. The tip has an opening through which urine from the bladder passes into the catheter. A flexible reservoir extends around the person's ankle and has walls bounding an interior compartment. A flexible, elongated tube has one end connected to the catheter and an opposite end connected to the reservoir. The tube is hollow for conducting urine in the catheter through the tube into the compartment of the reservoir. One of the walls of the reservoir is a bottom wall that engages and rests on a top of the person's foot in use to resist downward movement of the reservoir as the reservoir is filled with urine. A freely manipulated drain pipe is in fluid communication with the reservoir.Type: GrantFiled: August 29, 2019Date of Patent: July 25, 2023Inventor: Leonid Shendelman

Patent number: 11523696Abstract: A portable food service assembly includes a plate non-threadedly attached to, and detached from, an optional support. The assembly includes eating utensils and accessories, and can readily be carried by an individual from one place to another with one hand, and can be readily supported and held without tipping on a support surface, including in a compartment of a cupholder. All the components of the assembly are disposable, biodegradable, and, if desired, reusable.Type: GrantFiled: October 29, 2019Date of Patent: December 13, 2022Inventor: Leonid Shendelman

Patent number: 11375831Abstract: A propeller food plate assembly has a plate component and a propeller component that includes a plurality of propellers that subdivide the plate into a plurality of compartments for holding food during a dining activity. During a different recreational activity, the components rotate when the assembly is thrown and spun in the air. During flight, the components initially engage each other in a torque-transmitting relationship, and subsequently move apart. The propellers have contoured, aerodynamic surfaces configured to enhance an aerodynamic flight characteristic of the assembly, One or more light sources may be mounted on the assembly to emit light.Type: GrantFiled: April 26, 2021Date of Patent: July 5, 2022Inventor: Leonid Shendelman

Patent number: 11272798Abstract: A food handling device includes a holder having an interior chamber extending along a longitudinal axis, and an extension housing detachably mounted on the holder and having an interior compartment for receiving and for holding the foodstuff. A pusher is mounted in the chamber for axial movement. An actuator axially moves the pusher through the chamber and through the compartment into contact with the foodstuff, and incrementally feeds a continuously variable quantity of the foodstuff along the longitudinal axis through the opening directly into a user's mouth to enable the foodstuff to be eaten bite-by-bite in a sanitary manner without using eating accessories, such as plates and/or utensils, and without the user's hands directly touching and contaminating the foodstuff, thereby preventing the spread of disease.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 2020Date of Patent: March 15, 2022Inventor: Leonid Shendelman

Patent number: 11147403Abstract: A portable food handling device including a flexible strip having a body portion and a first and second end region, the body portion bent into a closed loop configuration to define an interior space configured to receive foodstuffs therein. Such a portable food handling device can include a feeder that can rotate to linearly advance the foodstuff in a bite-by-bite manner into the user's mouth. The foodstuff is thus incrementally exposed so that it can be directly eaten in a sanitary manner without using eating accessories, such as plates and/or utensils, as well as without one's hands directly touching and contaminating the foodstuff to prevent the spread of disease and pandemics.Type: GrantFiled: January 11, 2021Date of Patent: October 19, 2021Inventor: Leonid Shendelman
