  • Publication number: 20240327874
Abstract: The present invention relates to yeast cells engineered for the production of E8,E10-dodecadienyl coenzyme A, codlemone (E8,E10-dodecadien-1-ol), and optionally its derivatives E8,E10-dodecadienyl acetate and/or E8,E10-dodecadienal. Methods for production of E8,E10-dodecadienyl coenzyme A, codlemone (E8,E10-do-decadien-1-ol), and optionally its derivatives E8,E10-dodecadienyl acetate and/or E8,E10-dodecadienal are also provided. Nucleic acid constructs useful for obtaining such yeast cells are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20230332096
Abstract: The present invention relates to pheromone production, desaturated fatty alcohols or aldehydes or acetates using recombinant yeasts expressing acyl-CoA oxidase to shorten fatty acyl-CoA by two carbons, deleting endogenous acyl-CoA oxidase, express desaturase to introduce at least one double bond, acyl-CoA-reductase to convert fatty acyl-CoA into fatty alcohol. Further, acetyltransferase can be used to convert to desaturated acyl fatty acetate, alcohol dehydrogenase or fatty acyl oxidase to convert to desaturated fatty aldehyde.

  • Patent number: 10550413
Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a genetically modified fungal cell capable of producing a very long, chain fatty acid (VLCFA) and/or a VLCFA derivative. The genetically modified fungal cell comprises at least one exogenous gene encoding a fatty acyl-CoA reductase, and at least one gene encoding an elongase, and/or at least one gene encoding a fatty acid synthase.
    Type: Grant
