Abstract: A safety deck for vehicles, e.g. for use behind a tractor cab or the like, and securing structure therefor is disclosed to utilize J-bolts having resilient members secured to their bases wherein the J-bolts effect securing means of deck structure to the chassis of a vehicle.

Abstract: A tool for forming a depression in a strap of material which is disclosed to comprise a C-clamp base, a reaction cup on one arm of the C-clamp base and a bolt-like deforming member threadedly mounted through the other arm of the C-clamp base. A bearing is provided at the head of the bolt to facilitate deformation and locator means are provided on the base of the clamp to gauge the distance of the depression from the edge of the material in which the depression is to be formed.

Abstract: A step for mounting on tank structure which is supported by straps is disclosed to include bracing structure and bearing plates provided with dimples. The bearing plate dimples cooperate with dimples formed in the tank support straps to maintain the position of the step with respect to the tank in a rigid position and substantially incapable of relative motion thereto.

Abstract: A multi-way grab handle, particularly useful for vehicles such as trucks, is disclosed to comprise a base structure and a plurality of handhold structures. The device may be oriented to provide a pair of horizontally disposed handholds and a pair of vertically disposed handholds.

Abstract: A grating having a plurality of grating strips in rigid spaced relationship. The upper and lower edges of each strip are relieved to define spaced recesses. Recesses in the lower edges are deeper than those in the upper edges and adjacent strips are longitudinally staggered to cause misalignment of the lower recesses.
