    Abstract: A hermetically sealed electrical component. A conductor passes through a metal body member in which it is sealed by a glass-to-metal seal, extending to the electrical component. The metal body member is soldered or brazed to a support plate. A cap enclosing the component is cold pressure welded to the support plate.
