  • Patent number: 9097503
Abstract: A munition according to a preferred embodiment can include a detonator system having a detonator that is selectively coupled to a microwave source that functions to selectively prime, activate, initiate, and/or sensitize an insensitive explosive material for detonation. The preferred detonator can include an explosive cavity having a barrier within which an insensitive explosive material is disposed and a waveguide coupled to the explosive cavity. The preferred system can further include a microwave source coupled to the waveguide such that microwaves enter the explosive cavity and impinge on the insensitive explosive material to sensitize the explosive material for detonation. In use the preferred embodiments permit the deployment and use of munitions that are maintained in an insensitive state until the actual time of use, thereby substantially preventing unauthorized or unintended detonation thereof.

  • Publication number: 20080096744
Abstract: Exercise apparatus, comprises a first support means for the user's legs, a platform mounted on the support means to support a user's legs, there being a hinge connecting the platform to the support means and defining a generally horizontal hinge axis to allow pivoting of the user's trunk about a generally horizontal axis as the user relatively bends his body and his legs means, and extending in spaced, a second support means for the back of the user's body, and means for indexing said second support means at selected angularity relative to the hinge axis.

  • Patent number: 4878675
Abstract: A method for playing an educational and amustment game. The board game provides for playing two separate games. In the first game, game cards similar to bingo cards are distributed to each player. Game emblems or pieces start at a corresponding "Home" space and move along the inner path according to the roll of dice. Each inner space has a representation of a conventional playing card. After moving a game piece, the player must guess whether the playing card about to be picked from a conventional deck of playing cards is higher, lower or the same as the playing card represented on the landed space. Upon a correct guess, the player places a token on the space on his game card which corresponds to the landed space. If the guess is incorrect, question cards or reward and penalty cards may be used to give the player another opportunity to fill his game card. In the second game, players' pieces move along the outer path according to the roll of dice. Instructions on the outer spaces must be followed.

  • Patent number: 4604504
Abstract: There are three spring blades held in working relationship to a camstack which provide the making of two different and distinct circuits simultaneously by substantially simultaneously closing electrical contacts carried by the blade. Of the three blades a lower level blade engages cam contours of the camstack, a middle level blade includes a follower which engages a hub portion of the camstack, while the upper level blade extends freely above the middle blade.

  • Patent number: 4370566
Abstract: A control system for an appliance having a plurality of different operational cycles, provides cam operated switches for controlling the coupling of electrical power to the appliance, the switches including a plurality of rotatable cams for operating the switches in response to the rotational position of the cams, the switches being adapted for electrical rotation of said cams, a digital electronic control circuit for controlling the electrical cam rotation, the control circuit including circuitry for receiving a selection of any one of the cycles for the operation of the appliance, and a second circuit coupled between the switches and the control circuit and responsive to the circuitry for receiving for supplying information on the rotational position of the cams to the control circuit to enable control of the electrical rotation in accordance with a cycle selection.
