  • Patent number: 11235647
Abstract: An enclosure for protecting a load comprises a truck bed to hold items, a front wall affixed to a proximal end of a width of the truck bed, and a rear wall affixed to a distal end of the width. A main header member runs along the length of the truck bed connecting the rear and front walls to form a central mounting point along a length of the truck bed that is disposed at a maximum height of the rear wall and the front wall. A passenger side gull wing door and a driver side gull wing door are mounted to the main header member by a plurality of hinges affixed to the main header member and which provide a movable joint for the gull wing doors. One or more hydraulic lift cylinders are operative to raise and lower a respective gull wing door.

  • Publication number: 20200222790
Abstract: A string bowling pin as described herein incorporates one or more improvements that extend the time between maintenance and repair events that might otherwise be required at the place where the string leads from the top of the pin. A free-floating bushing improves the longevity of the string and pin connection. In another example, a radiused opening at the top of the pin improves the longevity of the string and pin connection. Also, both the improved bushing and radiused opening at the top of the pin, either alone or together, make the pin less likely to tangle with other strings and pins during use.

  • Patent number: 10619461
Abstract: An automated process and accompanying apparatus simultaneously separates and measures the flow rate of any multiphase mixture of immiscible fluids. Such separation and measurement can occur in a single vessel, or multiple vessels. Liquid levels, together with a material balance analysis, are utilized to determine constituent liquid flow rates. The vessel(s) can be remotely operated and monitored in real time, while also allowing for automated or manual calibration.

  • Publication number: 20170336025
Abstract: A ball lift assembly includes: a housing having an entrance and an exit; a motor which drives a ball lift system; an electronic control unit (ECU); and a plurality of sensors providing signals to the electronic control unit, including: a first sensor which detects a ball entering the lift system through the entrance; and a second sensor which detects the ball exiting the lift system through the exit. The first sensor provides a first signal to the ECU when the first sensor detects the ball entering the lift system through the entrance. The second sensor provides a second signal to the ECU when the second sensor detects the ball exiting the lift system through the exit. The ECU will turn on the motor to drive the ball lift system upon receiving the first signal, and turn off the motor of the ball lift system soon after receiving the second signal, while making sure the ball actually exits the unit.

  • Patent number: 7204165
Abstract: An anthropomorphic dummy head system is provided for measuring forces and moments applied to the back of the head and neck. The system includes a dummy head representing at least a portion of a human head and a force measuring device connected with the dummy head. The system also includes a skull cap attached to the force measuring device. The skull cap, representing a rear portion of a human head, may be free from direct attachment to the dummy head. The skull cap may further include a lower extension or nape extension configured to represent the back of a human neck.

  • Publication number: 20040063508
Abstract: A gripper kit for a vertical-type bowling ball lift and return mechanism that is suited for the lifting and handling of bowling balls covered with various amounts and types of oil. The kit comprises a combination of an endless belt, a tension bracket, a pair of track rail covers, and tapered and specially designed thimbles to guide and facilitate delivery of the ball into the channel between the endless belt and the outer surface of the track rails. The thimbles are tapered so as to ensure consistent and smooth entry of the bowling ball into the conveying belt area. During operation the bowling ball is conveyed along the channel with minimal slippage irrespective of the amount of oil that accumulates on the bowling ball.

  • Patent number: 5174148
Abstract: A brace for use in a door frame of a vehicle to brace an hydraulic ram in order to move the front interior portion of the vehicle away from the seats of the vehicle is disclosed. The brace includes a frame for fitting over the horizontal portion and "B" post of the door frame. The brace includes a brace mechanism that is self-locking with the brace frame through means of opposing sets of openings formed in the sides of the brace frame. The brace has a handle and brace pin which is inserted into the openings. The brace pin has a notch at the end farthest from the handle portion. Notch openings are formed horizontally on each of the openings on the sides of the frame. Accordingly, when the pin portion is inserted through the side openings, the notch fits through the notch openings and then gravity rotates the handle downward thereby locking the notch against the farther side of the brace frame.
