  • Publication number: 20060148772
Abstract: The present invention provides a combination for the treatment of a disease or condition which responds to dual EGFR and VEGF protein tyrosine kinase inhibition and either aromatase inhibition or inhibition of estrogen action, in particular a proliferative disease, especially a malignant disease, such as breast cancer, comprising a dual EGFR and VEGF protein tyrosine kinase inhibitor and either an aromatase inhibitor or an estrogen receptor antagonist for simultaneous, concurrent, separate or sequential use in reducing cell proliferation in estrogen receptor positive tumors. Also provided is a method of treating a patient suffering from a disease or condition which responds to dual EGFR and VEGF protein tyrosine kinase inhibition and either aromatase inhibition or inhibition of estrogen action comprising administering to the patient an effective amount of a dual EGFR and VEGF protein tyrosine kinase inhibitor and an effective amount of either an aromatase inhibitor or an estrogen receptor antagonist.
