  • Patent number: 10799144
Abstract: A patient support assembly for use in a magnetic resonance image (MRI) scanner includes a first and a second patient support structure and a first and a second imaging coil. The patient support assembly provides support for multiple anatomical regions being imaged, improving patient comfort during the procedure. Access to the patient is improved by: providing a flexible coil that wraps around at least one of the anatomical regions being imaged, providing a support structure open to the anterior region of the anatomical region being imaged, and providing a support structure that may be opened and closed about the anatomical region being imaged. The patient support assembly also aligns the two imaging coils to minimize interference between coils during imaging.

  • Patent number: 9764181
Abstract: The resistance band system of the disclosure includes one or more resistance bands, and a pair of handles which secure the ends of the one or more resistance bands. Each handle locks onto one of the ends of each resistance band. The handle is adapted to grip the resistance band with greater force when force is applied to the resistance band, such as when it is in use. The handle unlocks to release the ends of one or more of the resistance bands from the handles for changing of one or more of the resistance bands.

  • Patent number: 9339682
Abstract: An exercise apparatus that is mountable to a substrate, having a channel, a belt, and at least one buckle. The buckle has a bottom portion that is adapted to fit within the channel such that the buckle can move along the channel and resist moving in either perpendicular direction. The buckle has a top portion that includes an opening for attaching exercise equipment and at least one cam. The cam is selectively engaged with the belt such that when the cam is disengaged, the buckle can be moved along the belt and when engaged, the buckle resists movement with respect to the belt.

  • Patent number: 6295519
Abstract: A method and apparatus for coupling multiple computer peripherals to a computer system through a single I/O port is disclosed. The inventive apparatus includes an interface device having a first connector for coupling to the I/O interface of a computer system, a second connector for coupling a first computer peripheral to the I/O port and a third connector for coupling a second computer peripheral to the I/O port so that both peripherals are simultaneously coupled to the I/O port. Within the housing of the preferred embodiment of the interface device, control and data lines for receiving data associated with the I/O interface are coupled from the first connector to the third connector and control and data lines for transmitting data associated with the I/O interface are coupled from the first connector to the second connector. By separating the transmit and data functions of the I/O interface so they may be routed to separate connectors, computer peripherals of difference types, i.e.

  • Patent number: 4905521
Abstract: A device for allowing deformation measurement of a jacketed specimen when the specimen is loaded includes an elastomeric specimen container or jacket surrounding a specimen while the specimen is being loaded by a test apparatus. The specimen jacket wall is compressible, and the wall follows and allows deformation of the specimen. The jacket wall of compressible material is provided with at least one opening and a thin layer or shim of substantially non-compressible (metal) material covers and seals this opening. An extensometer is then positioned with its specimen engaging contact members engaging the substantially non-compressible material to measure the deformation of the specimen when the specimen is loaded, without compressibility effects of the jacket.
