  • Patent number: 5816949
Abstract: The hockey stick is provided with a recess formed at its lower edge of the blade. The recess eliminates ice build up on the front surface of the blade and relieves the air resistance and erratic buffeting of the blade when the latter is swung at a high speed against the puck. The front surface of the blade also slopes upwardly and rearwardly to enhance the release of air resistance build up on the blade. A resilient bumper is provided at the front end of the blade to safeguard against wear and tear of such end as well as minimizing accidental injury to the players hit by the blade.

  • Patent number: 4791701
Abstract: The utility tool facilitates the handling of rotisserie spits particularly heated spits during cooking. The tool can be used to carry a spit crosswise or lengthwise. A stepped slot is formed in a projected plate mounted at one end of the tool for engaging the spit crosswise for lifting the latter from a cooking appliance. Another slot is formed in a second projected plate mounted at the second end of the tool to facilitate adjustment of meat forks used on rotisserie spits. An arcuate notch is formed in one of the projected plate to facilitate cleaning of the cooking grill as well as placement of the meat forks into the meat being cooked.

  • Patent number: 4476777
Abstract: A counterbalance device for a rotary shaft comprises a sleeve member in the form of a short tubing or a handle which can be mounted on the rotary shaft. The sleeve member has an extension rear portion adapted to receive a bushing member to be mounted thereon. The bushing member is provided with at least two aligned openings. A rod can be inserted through these openings and be mounted on the bushing member by a set screw. At least one counterbalance weight can then be mounted on the rod to provide counterbalance for uneven weight distribution with respect to the longitudinal axis of the rotary shaft.

  • Patent number: 3960067
Abstract: A fully detachable counterbalance device for use in a rotisserie unit is shown herein. The device is fully adjustable to provide weight balance on both sides of the spit such that the spit can be rotated in a uniform motion. The device comprises a yoke member having a U-shaped cross section and comprising two substantially parallel spaced leg portions and a web portion. Two openings are formed in an aligned manner in the leg portions. The distance from each of the openings to the web portion is slightly larger than the width of the spit so that the yoke member is slidably and transversely engageable on the spit in a straddle manner. A weighted short rod member is slidably extensible through the openings after the yoke member is positioned on the spit so that the spit is slidably bound by the yoke member and a portion of the rod. The rod and the yoke member are mounted fixedly on the spit by operating a set screw provided at the web portion of the yoke member.
