  • Publication number: 20240082930
Abstract: A slot milling sequence includes a plurality of material removal processes or operations. Each of the material removal operations includes utilization of an end mill tool. Some of the material removal operations utilize trochoidal tool paths, whereas other material removal processes utilize one or more profile cuts. Some material removal operations that utilize profile cuts remove material from both sides of the cut in a single pass, whereas other material removal operations remove material from one side of the cut via a first pass of the end mill tool and remove material from the opposing side of the cut via a second pass of the end mill tool.

  • Patent number: 3964885
Abstract: A centrifugal pump has a rotor with two aligned frusto-conical passages, between the larger ends of which is a centrifugal impeller. The lower, smaller end of one of the passages forms a pump inlet. Frusto-conical funnels within the passages act to separate a vapor core from a liquid which is ejected by the impeller. The vapor is ejected from the smaller end of the other passage. A deflector and vanes within the rotor assist ejection of the vapor.

  • Patent number: 3942961
Abstract: A vapour-separating fuel pump has a rotor which includes a pair of axially-aligned chambers having a first impeller arrangement between them. At least one of the chambers is frusto-conical and has its larger diameter adjacent the first impeller arrangement, the smaller end of this chamber forming the pump inlet. A tubular member extends axially within the other chamber and has an open end adjacent the impeller arrangement. The other end of the tubular member carries a further impeller arrangement. Liquid is discharged through a first outlet by the first impeller arrangement, and a vapour core within the tubular member is discharged through a second outlet by the further impeller arrangement.
