  • Patent number: 4474560
Abstract: An integrated control mechanism for an electric fishing motor (10). The electric fishing motor (10) has a motor tube (11) with a propulsion unit (12) secured to one end and a control head (16) mounted on the other end. An articulation assembly (35) has a frame portion (36) secured to the housing (28) of the control head (16) and a bracket portion (38) attached to the motor tube (11). The assembly (56) which effects the pivotal connection between the frame and bracket portions (36, 38) also accommodates selectively positioning the control head (16) radially about the axis (58) of the motor tube (11). A tiller (60) is secured to the frame portion (36), and an on/off switch (89) is operatively connected between the frame and bracket portion (36, 38) such that vertical manipulation of the tiller (60) articulates the assembly (35) to actuate the on/off switch (89).

  • Patent number: 4094482
Abstract: A mount having a base bracket for mounting the motor tube of a fishing motor on a boat deck for swinging between a vertical operating position and a horizontal stowed position over the deck. A clamping yoke for holding the motor tube is swiveled on the bracket and a manually releasable latch pivoted on the bracket selectively locks the clamping yoke in the operating and stowed positions when the yoke is swung to either position.

  • Patent number: 4076193
Abstract: A mount having a clamp for mounting the motor tube of a fishing motor on the transom of a boat for swinging between a vertical operating position and a horizontal stowed position over the boat. A yoke for holding the motor tube is swiveled on the clamp and a manually releasable catch bracket pivoted on the yoke locks the yoke to the clamp in the operating position. A biased clip on the clamp releasably locks the yoke in the stowed position.
