    Abstract: An improved pipe construction is disclosed having an inner and outer surface, intermediate walls extending between the inner and outer surfaces, and a plurality of primary and secondary internal cells. There are twice as many secondary internal cells as there are primary internal cells. Each of the primary internal cells is of a circular cross-section, while each of the secondary internal cells is of a three-sided cross-section. The primary and secondary cells are wound about the central longitudinal axis of the pipe. A method of forming the pipe of this structure is also disclosed.
